Whoops! Didn’t know this.

& @GuyIncognito thanks for the reminder though, have had this sitting in my listening pile but havent got round to it yet. Droog’s album last year was amazing.

My good friend Charlie just released this, his first solo record. He’s formerly of the Retro Spankees, who were featured on James Acaster’s Netflix series.

The album was made in January as part of a one month album challenge, which is just silly.

It’s really good and you should listen, especially if you like Ween, Graham Coxon, Metronomy, Adam Green, Fiery Furnaces and Misty’s Big Adventure.

My favourite tracks are Tonight, Po and Bug, so they are. Also, I’m on it.

Thanks, I’m off to listen to the Silly Baby EP.

Which bit is you?

I say the word ‘ghosts’ on the track ‘ghosts’. It’s undeniably the highlight of the album and probably the highlight of music in 2021 so far.

Will give Hayley Williams a listen in a bit, was recently listening to a fair bit of latter Paramore stuff so it’s nice to get a bit more from her.

I’ve only listened to the first and last track on the BCNR album as I’m really familiar with the rest (though have noticed some are re recordings of the singles). Anyway it’s all about that last track, highlight of their live sets it’s absolutely breathtaking, glad it made the album was worried they might be holding it back or something.

Black Country, New Road and Meril Wubslin are the ones I really want to hear. Decemberists will almost certainly be a Bandcamp Day purchase and I’ll be giving Lights in the Attic’s new Nancy Sinatra comp a spin.

I heard the new Foo Fighters album a few weeks back (forgive me - I was the perfect age for their peak). As someone who can usually identify a few bangers on each album, even I found this one really, really weak. I reckon it’s their worst yet.

Enjoying this a lot so far. Cheers for the rec!

Guy Blakeslee (aka Entrance) has an album of demoy stuff out

Had a cursory listen this morning. 9 tracks at 36 minutes, with all of it sounding like the kind of filler they’d pad out their earlier albums with. This is baaaaad

This is absolutely wonderful, loving it. You should definitely send the last track to E_E

Just noticed this collab recording from Ryley Walker And Kikagaku Moyo - sounds like some long jams taken from a set they did together at Le Guess Who in 2018.

I slid into the singer’s DMs earlier on twitter  Not heard back lol

Trigger has a bit on it that sounds almost exactly like Hallelujah

This is a nice album

Seems her post has been deleted, but it sounds like she meant stripped back and without drums, rather than an acoustic Taylor Swift album.

The first single was easy to forget while listening to it and, with the exception of some noticeably duff lyrics, nothing at all stands out elsewhere either. It’s really shit.

Is that Teardrop cover on the new Hayley Williams album? My wife asked me if it was a karaoke version when I put it on :grimacing:

Yeah just had it on. Really shit

1st 2 albums are still good though
