It was the intro music on true detective
Far From Any Road was used as the title song on season one of True Detective. Hope they made some decent money from it.
I had no idea that was them!
me too (unless I knew and have since forgotten). will have to have another listen to remind myself what it sounds like.
It was effective, for a very brief period it became my default to expect to hear whenever the HBO sound cropped up
The best band doing it right now have a new one. No point categorising as each song is pretty different. Hardcore/punk/indie/pop/anything else.
Josh Caffe - Poppa Zesque. Solo LP from the queer London house legend.
Saw Team Me support (British) Sea Power probably 11-12 years ago. Thought they were great and bought their I think debut ep at the gig which was brilliant - had no idea they were still going/ haven’t thought about them in years but will check this out
Edit: was meant to be a reply to @paulo13 ’s original post
By the way...
if anyone is interested in how I made it or wants to help me promo it a bit I made a lengthy post over here on Reddit
Give it an upvote or a comment or something if you have a reddit account
I and the algorithm will be eternally grateful
thanks
Roisin Murphy - Hit Parade
Despite her social media.
The Chemical Brothers - For That Beautiful Feeling
If you don’t know what they are by now, there’s no hope.
Max Cooper - With Me
A new EP. Electronic.
Gaika - Drift - initial spin reminding me a bit of Lil Yachty’s superb album from earlier this year x Yves Tumour (who feats and produces bits). Space-rap is what I’m calling it from herein
They did call it a day for a while. Their second or third album was in 2014, and then eventually came back with a new album last year. So this is a super quick follow-up in comparison to that.
It’s here. Looking forward to listening to the Madness album.
Yeah mainly an Olivia Rodrigo and sparklehorse
New angel du$t today too though for some groovy clever post punk
and some more really good groovy clever post punk only with a more pop edge and a woman singing instead from the isle of wight
This also seems good, in the portishead / pj harvey sort of vein
I mean look at em
Modern soul with lovely vocals
Everyone knows Tinashe I think
And Romy, Yussef Dayes, Gaika etc
What a day
Tinashe - BB/ANG3L
Short 20 min album, poppy r&b. Really liking Gravity on first listen.
