My little label put out the new Capac record today. Collaboration with the poet Tom Harding - very creepy atmospheres. Physical package is a matchbox mp3 player, which plays the whole thing in full, plus a candle in a big presentation box. 'tis pretty spesh!

I think everything for me this week has been mentioned apart from the new Everything Is Recorded which features A. K. Paul but also includes this very nice song:

which contains a sample from this song (somehow have the studio and live version on my laptop :man_shrugging:)

Which is just about weirder than anything The Avalanches could sample.

Listening to a lot from this thread, thanks for posting all. Especially into Obey Cobra (cheers @colossalhorse, immediately purchased, and the tracks Dim Beak and Crinkle are huge), Willaris K, and Fragile X.

What I’ve enjoyed the most today is Bolt Gun - Begotten. Could well be my album of the month already. A mix of dark ambient/doom metal/post rock/noise… kind of hard to pin down without making it sound like silly genre spaghetti, but here it is:

It was released yesterday for some reason.

Listening now :raised_hands:

Music x Road snuck up on me last year and ended up being one of my favourites. Thanks for mentioning this or it would have slipped under my radar.

It’s a slow burn but I’m very into it!

This sounds right up my street.

Peel Dream Machine had me sold within 2 seconds of the first track, weaponised to appeal to me

Now that’s a description to get me excited!

Listening to the first couple of tracks, it’s some nice Pale Saints meets Peng-era Stereolab vibes. Enjoying. Thanks

:grinning:

Full disclosure: I know a couple of them and they’re lovely folk. Great live too. Really pleased you’re digging them!

I remember really liking Bolt Gun’s last one as it happens and I had no idea they had a new one out. These threads are just the best.

Been enjoying it, particularly Moth to a flame.

Es - Less Of Everything

London icy DIY punk creeps with gothic influence. On Upset The Rhythm.

Really enjoying the new Savage Mansion album, blowing away some of those house-arrest cobwebs.

I haven’t seen it mentioned yet but Wilma Archer’s debut album is out. It includes features from MF Doom, Sudan Archives and Samuel T. Herring.

I think this describes the record better than I ever could.
