Really enjoying Cut Copy. A pleasant surprise.
Bossa Nova time for the third instalment of the Jazz is Dead series
Pastoral Canadian folk indie. Sounds a bit like Neutral Milk Hotel covering Bright Eyes.
“like John Cooper Clarke and Mark E Smith fighting in a Southend bus depot”
Country-tinged indie pop goodness from former Broken Family Band and Singing Adams frontman
Enjoying the Bully album a lot, probably my pick of the day.
FFO: Waxahatchee, White Lung, Dinosaur Jr
Some stuff mentioned already I’m sure will be great - Nubya Garcia in particular - but right now I’m really enjoying the off kilter rock of Barringtone

Now that’s a band I miss! Anyone know where they went?
Good album title
Same here! Last year they said on instagram that their next album was hopefully going to be out in 2020. Doesn’t seem likely at this point, but hopefully next year.
Is it just me or have The Killers been listening to a lot of War On Drugs/The Gaslight Anthem?
Oh well that’s still something! I thought they had completely disappeared off the map. Remember seeing them at 100 Club around the time Deep Fantasy came out and they ruled.
Would have to do the unthinkable to find out!
If nothing else, it’s quite funny and has put a smile on my face. The last track is fucking hilarious
The single I heard suggested this, yes
My ex-band mate in Maths has a new album with his band Other Half today who are really good melodic indie/punk/post-Hardcore stuff:
I’m quite excited for No Joy actually. The bits I’ve heard thus far sound really good.
This is the fella from Clor iirc? Will give a listen
