Lots of good stuff in this post
That’s because double double whammy are the best
And I haven’t put in stuff like Bellows, GABI, Gemma, Sean Henry or Quarterbacks. And then there’s old releases by Radiator Hospital, Frankie Cosmos, Mitski, Great Grandpa or Krill.
You might have a point there. It definitely feels like it should be the centrepiece of the album.
The new Cate Le Bon album is terrific
Have totally failed to find any injury reserve chat, any fans?
Love the track with Freddie Gibbs (because Freddie Gibbs is aces). I think the rest of the album suffers a bit in comparison.
I also loved the track with the silver mount zion sample worked throughout! Was not expecting that!
It’s working for me, lots of good hooks and I like the slightly wonky vibe throughout
The beats/production are superb throughout. The rhymes/MCing doesn’t always quite match that standard I think. The guest verses tend to be the best bits. It is growing on me though.
Hayden Thorpe album is great isn’t it? Makes me want to sit in a dark room on my own and drink red wine.
Love it, have been rinsing it appropriately. It’s pretty much exactly what I wanted from him, so. Earthly Needs is so good.
Still haven’t heard the new Earth yet because my shiny pre-order vinyl didn’t come on time
(I don’t like streaming, so there)
The new JK flesh EP on Kevin Martin’s label is doing it for me
working through the flylo album. haven’t fully formed an impression yet.
Dunno if its the sort of thing to bother you but i only recently became aware of some far right/nazi links with deathspell. Really disappointing to hear.
I can’t check the link as it doesn’t get through my work filter but think this is the site which explains the links in the finnish scene;

fucking nazis
Yeah it certainly does. Had no idea about this. Thankfully I hadn’t got round to listening to the new one yet, will be giving it a wide berth now. Fuck sake. Cheers for letting me know though
Meant to say, that was some grim reading. Will definitely make me mindful to google any future lesser known nordic metal bands
yea, i read that blog a couple of months back and it was a total surprise to me also. A depressing read for sure. Seems to totally fly under the radar which is odd considering the amount of praise they get (and how quickly people normally like to go for BM bands being racist)
I thought i had a good grasp on NSBM and those which are not but this taught me a lesson!
I hadn’t realised that Plastic Mermaids’ album had come out on Friday. I absolutely loved their song Polaroids from a few years ago, but I think this is finally their debut album out now. They’re possibly not a million miles away from The Flaming Lips.
