Oh and as an aside - good to see them on Dead Oceans - many of my favourite releases in recent years - Bill Fay and Ryley Walker - were on that label
Did Chapterhouse do anything other than a few gigs? I saw them in London about 6(?) years ago but don’t remember them doing anything else.
Prsume you mean in addition to the albums and singles etc?
Ta, yeah, I should have just looked up Discogs
I was of course presuming you had meant …did Chapterhouse do anything else when they reformed…
Aye, 'tis good.
Yes, that was it. But I was happy to hear the oldies and their great Beatles cover
Love it. I was just playing it and my wife shouted from the other room “I love this Elbow tune ‘Throw those curtains wide’”. Does anyone know a good divorce lawyer?
I’ve decided I like this enough to try to keep an eye out for more news / an album should it ever be released.
North American tour announced for May - might make sense to have new material ready for that?
I got Coldplay circa-Eno vibes off the intro, personally.
Aye…it was great…Rain is brilliant and arguably my favourite version of a song written by the beatles…galaxie 500 also did a decent version

Some new UK dates here, which I assume judging by the size of the Fleece in Bristol are all pretty small venues…
I’ll be trying to get a ticket for Liverpool. Accoridng to reviews it hold about 200 people so these will be amazing gigs for those lucky enough to get a ticket. Loads of new songs and a few classics in the set.
Aye, the Art School in Glasgow isn’t massive. I saw them at Latitude in 2014 and they were good - would have liked a longer set, but you never get that at a festival. Unless they’re somebody really ace like Two Door Cinema Club.
I’m going to try for tickets at Liverpool, Glasgow and Bristol and just accept that a train trip and hotel bill is worth it to see Slowdive play a tiny venue.
Fully expecting not to get a ticket however. .
