another shit workout. did the run, then the planks, but just had nothing left in the tank for anything else and bailed. the swim I did last night really did a number on my legs for some reason.

gonna do a swim tomorrow and then give myself 2 days off exercise to see if that recharges the batteries. also thinking about changing the weight part of the workout to try some different things. the feeling of not completing something really offsets the positive aspect for me, and I know that’s fucking stupid because I did actually go and run and do some planks and have been good dietwise. probably need to learn to put that all or nothing thing I do aside, idk.

Accidentally put half a stone on again on account of a three month long mental breakdown lols. Determined not to fuck it up any more though, can’t wait to get moved and get back into a routine.

Everyone has bad days man, just keep at it in the long and it’ll click again. Yoga at home is a bit wafty but a good way of exercising but kind of feeling like a cheat day, check out yoga with adrienne if you haven’t before.
My exercise this year has been incredibly haphazard this year and my diet is awful but I managed 5 reps of 120kg deadlift the other day which is a pb.
Good luck.

Everyone’s mind fucks them up along the way every now again, just get back on the horse as soon as you’re able and be kind to yourself. It’s hard to keep on tough of diet and that when you’re in between places but forgive yourself and improve when you can.

Thanks. I’ll keep going for sure, I feel horrible right now and I’m really missing it so I know I’ll turn things round.

you giving yourself plenty of recovery time in between sessions? if you’ve got nothing in the tank you’re maybe trying to do too much back to back. or it could be fine day to day but every few weeks or so you need to give yourself a deload week? then again maybe everything is fine and you’re just having a couple of off days, that happens too. maybe you didn’t sleep well or whatever, that sort of thing becomes really apparent in the gym.

sounds total cliche, but just turning up really is like 90% of the battle. so you’re still doing good, man. keep at it :muscle:

well I’m trying to do at least some exercise every day apart from one a week where I just do nothing. so I go on a long walk, or last week, swim, on my rest days.

yeah, I’m gonna have another shot on Monday/switch stuff up weights wise/try out a few new things and chalk it down to an off few days.

cheers man

i’m definitely gonna look into a bit of yoga when I return to the UK next month. being more flexible for basketball is one of my aims, so I think it’ll help with that.

I think I’m ready to fall off the low-carb wagon - what should my first meal be?

Big plate o’ rice

chip butty

unless youre wanting encouragement to stay on the wagon. in which case. keep going, don’t give up. youll regret it.

still sore today :grimacing:

could barely get onto / off of the bench this morning

I’m thinking pizza crunch for 100% carb overload
