When we were up near Skye for last NYE, it felt like we were purposefully cooked Scotch Pies by our mate, as though it were a tradition. I think that was NYD, though, as we were off up the Old Man of Storr for NYE and had haggis neeps and tatties for dinner.

Did big shop in Tezzers yesterday and they had a display of “New Years Steak Pies” which made me wonder cos someone here mentioned it a week or ago. One of the cool Scottish ones, can’t remember who. @Ella_Megablast? Then Ol’ @Joke2000 here said it too and I’m all like shook and whaaaaaa

Going to do the usual abd hope I fall asleep before the fireworks start so I don’t go into sensory overload :partying_face:

They will probably be a lot worse this year with everyone at home won’t day, bonfire night certainly was like that.

have had steak pie on NYD way more often than i’ve had turkey on christmas

The last few years I’ve stayed in on NYE and gone out New Year’s Day, as it’s always a better night. This year, I’m going to be on my own as my flat mate is going to a party so that’s nice isn’t it. Le sigh. Might go to bed before 12.

Sorry gunners I know this wasn’t in the spirit of the thread, I think Optimo are doing a Twitch as well.

If people like, they should watch the videos my friend was involved in as part of the new online Hogmanay celebrations. One came out yesterday, one today, and another tomorrow at 7! Very cool drone art with poetry and music, just 5 minute things :slight_smile:
