we are meeting our spanish friends, it seems the spanish really like new year’s eve and the mrs spanish friend legit wants me to lay out the whole epstein thing from beginning to end, i think i have died and gone to heaven this year pals i normally hate NYE

Was meant to be going to the Christmas Market in George Square with pals and bairns early on but it is finished already apparently. Or is before hogmanay anyway.

So dunno what to do early on but we’re all going for dinner and a few drinks about six. Then train home at a reasonable time, get the bairn to bed and me and the TV will have a drink(she’ll be on softies as she’s on antibiotics) and watch some telly before the bells, together in the house.

Last couple of years we’ve had a little gathering in my friends’ house back home and it’s been lovely and I’ve stayed in their spare room instead of spending hours trying to get a taxi home at the end. But this year they’ve got a baby so aren’t doing anything.

I’ve lived in Belfast for years but never actually spent New Years there but probably will this year, think a couple of friends are going to a Terri Hooley (of Good Vibrations fame) DJ night so I’ll probably join em. Can walk home which is a bonus.

Still quite tempted to do nothing and just stay in at my parents’ house, I hate the feeling that you’re obliged to go out that night. But I will probably go out.
