I have recently been criticized for not being passionate about anything. I couldn’t think of one thing I really, really like in response. Its starting to worry me, there’s lots of things I do like football or reading but nothing I am passionate about I’m just passing the time… until I die!
So this year I want to throw myself into something and become passionate about it, any tips?

How did u get hooked on the card game circuit?

Got a game I thought looked interesting as a present, played it loads, went from there.

Achieve all the stuff I wanted to do this year. :expressionless:
Do some fundraising.

I would like to make a game next year. I’m starting from pretty much no knowledge of coding etc so it will have to be a pretty simple game, but there you go. That’s my new thing, the rest of the list is basically stuff I carry over every year.

Life stuff:
learn to drive
get a new job
actually try to save some money for once
massively cut down alcohol
run more; get half and full marathon PBs

Oh, and do more music stuff.

Do it.
I do it every year. This year I’ve done it for the whole of November and up til now. Will break for 2 days over xmas then back on it and hopefully keep it up until the middle of the year.

  • Never EVER talk about cycling ever again. If someone asks me how I got to work just say ā€œI forgotā€.
  • Try and stay on top of certain things and don’t let them slip again
  • More posting on DiS, not sure if I’ve posted enough in 2016

Are there any particular books or sites you recommend for ideas/recipes? Think not using butter and cheese in cooking will be the hardest thing…

usual pish that i’ll occasionally adhere to but more opften than not not:

more exercise, that being said i joined the gym a couple of months back and have been going regularly

cut back on the booze, especially midweek

go to more gigs - this is a new one, i get to lots of gigs just wanna go to more.

I ate vegan in Germany on Monday and Tuesday because they keep sneaking cheese into my food otherwise, and did hands down the worst smelling poos of my life.

Just thought you’d like to know that.

Smart. Makes the ā€œI know them from gigsā€ line more credible.

Yeah Jamie Oliver has a lot of very good ones. I’ve made quite a few from here.

I make a lot of curries or stir fries so they’re always mostly vegan anyway and easy. I try to bulk make either a curry or a lentil ragu (this recipe http://www.delicious.com.au/recipes/jamie-olivers-sicilian-lentil-olive-ragu/696af6cc-ad34-45cc-8911-6951b46afef6) and have it throughout the week.

Pinterest is good if theres something in particular you fancy. I wouldn’t bother with anything being like vegan mac and cheese. It’s not the same. It’s better to just cut it all out then your cravings disappear after a while.

I’m quite lucky that there are a lot of good vegan lunch options near my work so i’m sorted for that. You do get into the swing of it after a while but I would normally go through half a block of parmesan on my pasta.

The weight has dropped off me though and I have miles more energy than before so it’s a good thing

Yeah we call them stickies
It’s actually helped my IBS a lot

Some vegan blogs I like off the top of my head:
The Minimalist baker blog (Her tofu scramble recipe is awesome),
Vegan dad is great although v Americanised
PeaSoup (I also really like the writer’s first cook book.)

I used to really like the Post Punk Kitchen forums, but these are winding down and the new reddit is not the same :disappointed: A lot of recipes are also on the PPK site.

Also I think I’m the only person ever not the lose weight by going vegan. Must be all the chips and bourbon biscuits I eat …

Great thanks…Not doing it for weight loss really more just to get out of cooking habits and lazy eating!

Means I am going to end up cooking three or four different dinners a night but that’s OK for a month…

I just realised I missed out my favourite vegan blog The Fat Free Vegan. Whoops!

Actually eating vegan is pretty easy, but even with cooking for 1 I find that it takes more planning, as you need to make sure that you have the ingredients for workarounds and you can’t just grab a lot of ready made stuff.

Just gonna stick with 1920x1080 @60Hz
