There’s going to be a lot of predictable noise about Eli Manning, but he’s a short term fix for a young team. Ditto Alex Smith (although he’s good at absolutely everything Bortles isn’t good at except the deep ball). Kirk Cousins probably the most intruguing option but there’s absolutely nothing to suggest that he’d be any better than Bortles.

Pretty pish Conference to be honest.

Think there’s definite comparisons in terms of them having league wrecking defenses… but Russell Wilson is an Elite QB and Blake Bortles definitely isn’t.

Jags have a limited window to succeed in the AFC until all their young players want to get paid. They’ve spent a lot of money assembling the rest of that defense and they don’t have a whole lot of cap room either.

Not sure Bortles market value is that high tbh and I dont think there are many teams who’d be desperate to sign him as a Free Agent. Means the Jags might get a reasonable deal out of him for 3-4 years.

Think they can cut him w/o a cap penalty as well.
