My opponent this week has had a nasty stat reduction turn a 2 point win into a 0.5 point loss. That’s going to hurt, especially after I benched Bilal Powell!

:sob::sob::sob:

Fingers crossed, it’s looking like I’m for wins in both my leagues this week. I’ve surprised myself considering how brutal the first couple of weeks were. Will no doubt backslide after this.

oops, double post. I am that unhappy though, so perhaps worth it.

Appear to have totally gotten away with it in DiS 1, waiver pick up of Seahawks D and a rather lucky week have put me way above where I should have been. Although that IS the team with ol’ Dalvin, so I probably needed it going forward.

Poor cook. Thought he might have gotten away when he was walking to locker room, but early prognosis is baaaad

Went to bed convinced I’d won that. Never a good feeling to lose with 110+ points

Think I have absolutely torpedoed my non-DiS team. Traded Lamar Miller for Golden Tate last week, due to my RB depth. Miller completely goes off, Cook gets hurt. Fucking fantasy, man.

I lost in my non-DiS team, totally mugged by players that should have done better. My brand new DiS team won though, viva le Holloway Hedgecats.

That said, it was Gurley and my Kicker (23pts lol) that won it as the rest of my team is dog shit.

urgh that’s you! showed up as me having won earlier and now the score has changed again (back to what it was when I work up at 6am). My team is garbage and I benched Powell. FFS

gonna win a match in Dis Div 1!!!

Admittedly, the team I’m playing didn’t bother to field a kicker, but still!

The temptation is strong to bench Kareem Hunt, as I lead by 2.1 points in my DiS keeper game, oppo has nothing to come.

But that would be a bit crappy. Plus I feel indebted to the fantasy gods after the DiS 1 game, I should make them this offering at the very least.

First snap of the night, KC receive. Tackle for 2 yard loss leading to a fumble and Hunt injury on the first play, you say?

What’s our hunches on Doug Martin tonight? I have him in a non DiS league and he’s in my thoughts for my last flex with Lamar Miller & Martavis Bryant (8 team dynasty league)

I’m playing Miller and giving Martin a week to get back involved but with the state of the Pats defence, I might regret it I think.

I’m exactly the same. Got a good WR corp (inc Bryant weirdly enough - Steelers at home, so in he goes) and Melvin Gordon, so need to pick one of Smallwood, Martin, and Aaron Jones.

Would be nicer if they were a couple more days to hear about the green bay situation for Jones, but that’s looking like a time share at best. I reckon Martin is the best goal line back for Tampa, so I might go with him. Extremely possible he does very little though.

If I could afford to, I’d give him a week. But I can’t so he’s going in, along with Mel G. Don’t trust cohen to produce yet (will be interesting to see if he’s more of a dual threat with Trubisky playing) and certainly don’t trust Abdullah, despite his good #numbers last week.

I’m a Steelers fan and have plenty of shares in Bryant this year. If you watch the film it’s so frustrating. He has been overthrown on two bombs where the coverage was out of the frame and would have scored another if it wasn’t for a 48 yard PI call. The signs are pointing to him going off soon. Instead of 183 yards/ 1 TD he could quite easily have 350 yards/ 4 TD’s.

Looking at the matchup, I think I’m behind so I’m going to go with Bryant as the sky high ceiling guy.

Reckon Ben is OK? Could be a sign of a failing arm if he keeps missing long (less strength, so has to put more into it, so less accurate)?

I don’t as it goes. Bear in mind that the Steelers success at the end of last year was off the back of running Bell into the ground rather than the passing game, though that was put down to being down to one receiver.

But I’m often wrong. He could just be having trouble getting used to having a burner like Martavis Bryant back. Bryant wasn’t reinstated until Week 4 of the preseason so they haven’t had much time. BB made Sammy Coates look like a premier deep threat for 4 weeks last year before Coates got crocked…

The other thing to consider is this Jags defence looks terrifying.

Aye that’s fair, I just wondered as he’s previously been SO good at the deep ball, and some of those deep misses have been bad - as you say, totally open guy, and the receiver hasn’t even had a diving chance, never mind a catch on the run. All fair points though.

Jags defence is very good (how else do you shut down an elite QB like Flacco), but then if they have Ramsey on Brown, it could funnel more stuff to Bryant, and he only needs 2-3 catches to make him worthwhile. Ah, fantasy.

I had so many parts of that game last night across my leagues - Brady, Gillislee, James White and Mike Evans. All of whom put up subdued performances.

Rested Doug Martin who looked great.
