The Rodgers chat is mad, can’t quite believe it but if it winds up with him out of the north, sure.

Lots of potential madness on the cards, will doubtless not be that exciting. Having a very early night, will no doubt return to this thread in the morning like that gif of Donald Glover walking into a room on fire.

Third time I’ve seen Browns fans just ripping shots outside ESPN’s booth.

Jenkins has gone to the Titans. Think Patrick Robinson is probably pencilled to start in his place but he’ll turn 34 before next season starts. Not sure I see the logic for the Saints trading up, they’re out of win now mode for the first time in over a decade. They should be shifting expensive players and rebuilding, not fooling themselves into believing they’ll contend at the same level next year.

Going to try, at least for now I only need to make it to #7. Although if things go how I really want them to and the Lions trade back I might have to re-evaluate!

Staying up for your team’s day one pick is a cast iron guarantee they’re going to trade into day 2.

Not if you’re the Giants! :joy:

Hahaha, fair point.

Also this Rodgers stuff feels like hot air. He’s been doing this long enough to know how and when to make his disgruntlement public (ie the first day since the Superbowl when the sports media is focused on the NFL). Would fully expect him to be starting for the Packers next year.

My initial thought was that Rodgers is basically saying “draft me a receiver or else”. I’d be delighted if the Packers traded him into the AFC.

I tend to agree, but I would not be happy if I was the GM or Lafleur with the timing of it at all. We understand your the face of the franchise, first ballot hall of famer, we are trying to put all the pieces together to win. Does this fire up the GM and head coach in a good way on draft day to maybe get him a receiver piece he needs, or now do they say let’s change course focus on building defense as they have in past with draft picks.

Them drafting Love in the first round last year must have been a genuine bone of contention. I don’t think everything is all lovey dovey there, but I do think he’ll stay another year at least, it’s still his best option to win another ring.

Yeah, this is what it comes down to. For their part the Packers have been leaking some fairly boilerplate “team sources say Jordan Love looks great in practice” type stories but I think both sides know that a new contract is in everyone’s best interests.

Also just read his dead cap is 36 million this year if traded. Not happening, he’s either a Packer or sits out.

There he is! Fully expect Belichick to take some second round special teams guy that no one’s heard of.

we will trade down to the third round for a fullback from Rutgers and we’ll be happy about it.
