Personally I think this a really interesting draft class, especially at RB. There’s some guys in this class that will be putting the old guard out to pasture very quickly I think.
Specifically, I want to see if Omarion Hampton can solidify his position as the RB2 behind the phenom that is Ashton Jeanty. If Hampton can run in the 4.4 range at his size I think he sneaks into the 1st round of the draft.
Feels like a pretty drab year really. Sure the hype train will start soon enough but a weak class with 2 realistic starting QBs and a pretty thin free agency.
Assume bears will be hitting both lines fairly hard in the draft and free agency, which is sensible but I’d love to see Ben Johnson get his grubby mitts on Ashton Jeanty
Maybe only 1 starting QB - I’m not a fan of Shadeur. He seems like Teddy Bridgewater if he had a bad personality.
There’s a couple of guys who could be ok if they’re not thrown into starting straight away. It’s set up quite nicely for a team like NYG to pick up one of the old guys on the market and then draft a project like Dart or Milroe to nurture.
This is a massive boomer take but when a guy is recording music on the side it’s a bad sign imo, I don’t want my starting QB dropping fire mixtapes I’m sorry.
The NFLPA state of the locker room survey has been published, always some fun details in here. Personal favourite so far is that the Patriots plane is so old it still has ashtrays in the seats.
Seems like a load more players than usual have already requested trades; Myles Garrett, Jonathan Allen, Harold Landry, Jaire Alexander and Deebo are all agitating for moves apparently. Germane Pratt wants to leave Cincinnati as well but will be fortunate to find a team who wants him after how badly he played last year.
