Unless he somehow comes out totally cleared of all wrong doing by the police itā€™s hard to see how the Chiefs will be able to justify keeping him at least. They got rid of Kareem Hunt for what most people would view as a lesser offence.

Obviously football wins and losses are by the by, but it is a shame that a team that should be so likeable - fun coach, great QB, exciting offence - might never reach its potential because its populated by a few total fucking scumbags.

Think thereā€™s an element of them reaping what they sow though, part of the reason theyā€™ve been able to assemble this team is that players like Hunt and Hill got drafted later due to (absolutely legitimate) character concerns.

Yeah, this really. Hill fell to the fifth round due to that delightful catch-all ā€œcharacter concernsā€, so they knew the risk.

I think and hope that heā€™s done, heā€™s a villain. But this is the NFL, heā€™ll probably be hiring an apology-writer and practicing his contrition face in front of the mirror soon enough.

Max Unger has retired, puts the Saints in a bit of a bind given that they have one pick in the top 100. In other news the Raiders have released Donald Penn, not unexpectedly after all the money theyā€™ve thrown at Trent Brown. Feel like he could still do an Andrew Whitworth-esque job for a contender.
