Sure you’re aware and happy with the choice anyway but just to confirm it’s rushing and receiving tds that count

I know, he will get a rushing TD

Derrick Henry

Literally no one (I think) has picked the Colts, Football Team or Browns, and only one has picked the Bears.

Hmm…

I’ve sent this around my work as well.

One person has taken the browns. Nobody has the Colts yet. Nobody has Washington to get within 10 of the bucs

Fwiw I think the Football Team D will trouble Brady, Young and Sweat are absolute monsters. Just can’t see an Alex Smith-led offense scoring enough points to keep it competitive though.

Also worth remembering that the last two teams to make the playoffs with a losing record went on to win their wildcard games.

And the last one was coached by Ron Rivera

Although I think Brady might be better than Ryan Lindley

Just had a sobering moment when I looked up Ryan Lindley’s wiki to discover that this person who started a playoff game what feels like a million years ago now is in fact younger than me.

Also Ken Whisenhunt really would just chuck out any warm body at QB. Found out he once started a season with a QB selection of Kevin Kolb, John Skelton and Lindley.

Last 3, I think?

Newton’s panthers, tebows broncos and lynch’s Seahawks?

Or were the broncos 8-8?

I will eat my hat live on DiS if a 7-9 Washington team led by the last vestiges of Alex Smith beat Brady’s Bucs. They don’t even have home field advantage despite being at home.

Literally the only achievement they have this year is beating the Steelers, and I don’t even know what to make of that. They’ve otherwise beaten the 6-10 Cowboys x 2, the 4-12 Eagles x 2 (including last week where they narrowly won even though the Eagles actively threw the game), the 4-11-1 Bengals and a 6-10 9ers team without Jimmy G or Kittle. They also didn’t score an offensive TD in that game and Smith led the team in passing with 57 yards. They are a dreadful team.

They also lost to the Giants twice, which is pretty terrible

The only, only slither of hope for them is that the Bucs have completely failed to turn up twice this season (Bears and the mauling by the Saints) and if they play like that, and the Washington front 7 are great, this could be a low scoring, one big play could swing it sort of game.

But that Saints game was in week 9 and they’ve scored a lot of points every week since. If they get 30+ it won’t be anywhere near close

Averaging less than 21 points a game too. In their biggest offensive performance of the year (a 41 point shellacking of the Cowboys) Alex Smith threw for 149 yards and 1 TD. Doesn’t really feel like it’s going to cut it against the Bucs (unless Antonio Gibson turns into Derrick Henry for the playoffs).

We should probably have an actual thread for game chat btw.

That Saints game does stick out but they’ve been absolutely rolling the last few weeks as you say.

Interestingly the Bears are longer odds (7-2) to beat the Saints than the Team are (14-5) to beat the Bucs. I won’t have a sniff of either but I’d choose the Bears if I had to.

Flashbacks to my English degree

Especially given the Bears and Saints played this season and it went to overtime (admittedly not in the dome but still)

Let me tell you, I can get used to this 3 game Saturday/Sunday wildcard weekend slate. Already told the GF I’m expecting 2k steps each day total so buckle in.

I say keep it here, maybe playoff chat or something in the thread title.
