I missed the start but it wouldn’t surprise me, he’s been pretty outspoken on issues:

He’s too good for us

Just imagining him on a good team, he could easily help a team win a SB.

I can see the comparisons that he can run as well as Wilson, but knows when to throw, but I can definitely see the throw comparisons as you say to Rodgers

Amazing it’s all from one coach that has affected the team so badly. If it gets much worse, wouldn’t be surprised if the coach is fired

Also kind of amazing we got this far into the season and this is only the second major outbreak. Back around week three when the Titans were passing it around we were debating when the season would be called off, not if. All goes to show the protocols were working, or they were getting very lucky, or more likely a bit of both.

I don’t think this was ever likely barring players/coaching staff dying en masse or something - the season being delayed temporarily, sure, and that might still happen, but there’s way too much money involved for them to just cancel an NFL season

Exactly. I think it’s very much down to the protocols working, that many people luck can only go so far. I would have thought they probably consulted with the MLB before starting, as they would have had a lot of experience in this regards

Genuinely think I’d have caught that pick

It would be a very Houston thing to draft a player of that quality and never win a Superbowl with him. Hopefully the next coach will help him reach his potential as Superbowl MVP

Fuck Bill O’Brien for building such a mess around such an amazing talent

Just making my sauce, having a stout, watching the game. Solid morning!

Re: up thread, I didn’t realise now insanely popular football is until I lived here. Every bears game is like England in the World Cup, no one in the streets, bars packed. Every tv you see through the windows in the street tuned to the game. I dread to think of how much cancelling the season would cost.

Really tidy TD and conversion. Should be it for Patricia.

(Narrator: It wasn’t.)

Don’t think I’ll ever get over the bears trading up and picking trubisky instead of staying at 3 and taking Mahomes or Watson. With our D in 2018 and this year especially

Don’t think I’ve ever seen a play like that.

That was ridiculous! Possiby the best sell of a run ever

Always more than one side to these what-ifs though. Mahomes was an exceptional but erratic talent at Texas Tech, hard to know if he’d have developed as well as he did without Andy Reid and Eric Bieniemy and a year sitting behind Alex Smith. Plus Mitch made the Pro Bowl in his first year.

I think Johnson made it up. Was meant to be a normal flea flicker and he sees the blitz, cuts outside and somehow gets back round to give it back to Watson. Hell of a play from him

Romo making the case for Patricia by pointing out they had a 10+ lead in half their losses is a hell of a take
