During the Thanksgiving games I was trying to explain to my wife that the only recent opportunity (as far as I am aware) for women to play football was a thing called the Lingerie League, and it blew my mind again thinking about it. This week is better.

Was really lolling at Pittsburgh twitter fans throughout this week but tbh after yesterday’s news I’m really struggling to see how the league can justify bending over backwards for Baltimore but also throw the book at the Broncos when both broke the covid rules. Seems dubious at best to me.

I do agree with you on this. So what are the rules about allowing a game to be postponed to later that same week or re-scheduling it altogether?
I’d argue losing 3 QB’s, so in effect making it extremely difficult to win the game would be a good reason. In addition, the league has made the QB a very important position to be protected in game, so why is it now so different?

But if the Broncos were to somehow win that would have had a potentially huge impact on the NFC playoff seeding, so the distinction doesn’t even work when considering whether the game is β€œimportant” or not. It’s hardly a dead rubber.
