Crosby adds a missed PAT. What has happened to kicking this year? The one part of football that actually looks quite easy to do.

Is home advantage much greater in the NFL than in other sports? The vast majority of games seem to result in home wins most weeks. If so, why - pitch dimensions, surface, atmosphere, travel?

Are there flight restrictions like they have in MLS (four games a season)?

All of those reasons and I also think crowd noise can really interfere with the opposing teams in terms of calling out plays etc.

Yeah, home noise when the away team is on offence can be immense, some teams adopt a plan where they don’t have to use any verbal communication. Travel is pretty full on too, especially for west coast teams travelling to the east coast - a 12 pm kickoff on the east coast is the equivalent of a 9 am start on the Pacific, which has to affect your bodyclock

This Chiefs v Jags game is literally never going to end.

Holy shit gano

Amazing! Didn’t see a shot from the crossbar but looked like he made that and then some.

And then the squirtiest of field goals from the browns to get it done :’)

fucking hell that was wank!

:grinning: We were just chuckling at that one - reckon he had a brief moment there thinking it wasn’t going to go through.

You know when the rams under Jeff Fisher always did weird things to the vastly superior seahawks… just wondering…

nothing better in american football then when one of the big guys runs the football for a touch down

This is lovely and all, but the bit where the commentator reads out his kids’ names has absolutely done me.

BBC 2 game in 5 minutes

Saw someone on the tube on Thursday in Seahawks socks, seahawks shorts, seahawks bumbag, seahawks cap and a number 12 seahawks jersey with ‘FAN’ on the back. Absolute fucking shambles

Are Seattle especially popular here then, or is it more a case of the Raiders being unpopular, if so why (the relocation?, Gruden?)?

Seattle wins. Super bowl when a bunch of new fans had started watching the sport :man_shrugging:
