This’ll be the second time Houston have faced the Colts in 4 weeks, and the third time this season, so the familiarity with opposition/opportunity to rectify mistakes applies just as much for the Texans as it does for the Chargers.

Game could go either way. Colts certainly have enough to beat us any day of the week, but equally we have the talent to hang with just about anyone in the league if we play to our best.

Think the difference may prove to be in the coaches. Indianapolis have the new coach who’s been dreaming up great things and has an adventurous streak in him, whilst the Texans have a good but highly conservative one who’s at his best protecting leads (I think I read somewhere that our win rate when we’re ahead at half time is 25-5 or something like that). Barring early mistakes by Luck I’d imagine that this sort of game slightly favours the Reich-style of coaching.

Anyway, as @anon67149139 said, we’re so ruddy gruddy likeable that frankly it’s outrageous that anyone could consider us losing

RAVENS ARE GONNA WIN THE WHOLE THING MATES

Mm, in terms of “history” it’s the Chargers as they’ve gone the longest without ever winning it (and have only appeared at SB once, in 1994), followed by the much younger Texans who have never even been to the big dance (but have only existed since 2002). Meanwhile the Chiefs haven’t been since 1969 but did at least win it then.

On the flip side, this means the Cowboys and Patriots are to be avoided at all costs, and should the Superbowl come down to them this or any year the rest of the fans will most likely go find something better to do with their Sunday.

In terms of this current season however, it’s hard to describe anyone as plucky underdogs as the traditionally less successful teams, such as the Chiefs or the Rams or, to an extent, the Saints, have done really well this year hence their collective byes into the next round. I guess Colts are technically the biggest underdogs as they had to win their last match of the season to get in as while the same is true of the Eagles they are the defending champs which takes the shine off a little.

Basically, this is my round about way of me saying fuck the haters, support the Ravens, this year’s (and every year’s) good guy underdogs.

oh just to add to this, it’s also been quite a long time since the Bears have been good so that would be grand as well

I think you’ll find neither offending Ray had much input into their second title win (dunno about the first one, assume same)

really like the ravens :see_no_evil:

and The Wire!

no need to apologise to me, I actually stopped supporting them after the Ray Rice thing/am on a bit of wind up and would think anyone except Pats and Cowboys would be fine (nonplussed by Colts and Texans so looking forward to getting them out the way)

I just have to admit it’s good to see their currently fairly likeable squad make the playoffs and to embrace being a heel as long as they are IN (ALL THE WAY TO TITLE NUMBER 3 BABY, WOO!)

don’t understand the heat Baltimore gets for ray lewis. some of his pals killed someone in self defence in a bar brawl, and he allegedly covered for them before actually grassing them up?

Agreed, although I guess the argument is Ravens should have cut Lewis as a result? However, the club actively trying to cover up Ray Rice was beyond scummy and why I stopped following them

OH and Ravens got shit canned from the start because of the Browns folding and moving to Baltimore but again that’s not really The Ravens fault AND A BIT RICH GIVEN THE COLTS ARE FROM BALTIMORE BUT NO ONE GIVES OUT TO INDY ABOUT IT

pretty sure he’s on John Cena levels of make-a-wish and charity work for kids, but aye, fuck him, with his big stupid head.

(p.s don’t go Colts, please)

meh

cleveland seems to be a horrible place, I’d hold no grudges against moving away
