Watching the first Blue Jackets game.
It’s already a weird season! We have a new coach and GM. Our captain, Boone Jenner had shoulder surgery today and looks like he’s out for a good chunk of the season. My biggest complaint over the last few seasons has been the lack of leadership on and off the ice. No idea who the captain is now. I’m really not sure how the whole Gaudreau thing will affect the team.
We also have a new tv commentator which is really throwing me off too!
My fantasy season is off to a wild start. I’m on my 5th goaltender already!

My modest prediction for the CBJs this season… is to do better than the last three seasons. We’ve really sucked lately. It’s got to be better!

Absolutely! I think that galvanized the team and losing our captain to injury at the start of the season got people to really step up. Zach Werenski has been superb. With a new coach and GM and a young squad I really cannot ask for more from them this season. Making the playoffs would be a very successful season for us.
I’ve loaded up on Monahan (IR), Fantili and just grabbed Jenner for my team. Are you playing this year?
I just added Jenner too! Just before anyone else got him. We have a rule in our fantasy league that we have to have at least one healthy Blue Jackets player in our squad at all times. I started with Marchenko he got injured (broken jaw) so I added Olivier the enforcer of the team. I’ve gone back to Marchenko now.
Pretty average season so far 10-9. My first couple of weeks were plague by injury. I went through four goal tenders in a week or something silly.

Well, the Blue Jackets have gone off the boil. Ever since the stadium game/Boon Jenner coming back we’ve started performing badly. The wild card spot was so close! The Goalie was pulled less than 5 minutes into yesterday’s game after conceding 2 goals. Two games on the bounce without scoring too.
But in good news… Yesterday, I beat the favorite in our fantasy hockey league by 0.1 points(!) to book a place in the play off final. Epic scenes!
If they win next game and the Habs lose well, they’re in! I think they deserve it more. Jet Greaves lord and savior
