CBA with NYE so thinking of buggering off to somewhere for a night or two on the coast for some walks and general ruggedness. Where would you recommend?
Whitby’s a nice town.
Tenby for the win. As pretty as Cornwall but less poshos, and half the price for every element.
I love the Gower. No idea what they’d have in terms of accommodation at this time of year, as I’ve only ever camped, but there are some huge sandy beaches out there.
OR Fowey, Looe, etc.
North Norfolk coast is lovely
Robin hood’s bay and around there is beautiful too
it’s true though! @colon_closed_bracket
The coast east of Brighton. Or around Swanage in Dorset
Most of the west coast of Scotland
Visited for the first time last month and fell in love. If you want ‘rugged’ you’ll be in the right place. We stayed at Oxwich which was gorgeous, would also recommend Langland, Caswell, Rhossili
Northumberland. The coast is unsurpassable - stunning and very rugged. Do Alnmouth, Craster, Dunstanburgh and (especially) Bamburgh/Holy Island.
New year in Looe is a good party location if you want to party.
Happened to me one time
Bamburgh you cunts.
EDIT : Northumberland coast generally.
isle of wight
Anstruther, Crail or Elie in the East Neuk of Fife.
