In the Chinese Takeaway sitting on the bench looking up at the little tv they have in the top corner
- that’s a nice place to wait
- that’s not!
In the Chinese Takeaway sitting on the bench looking up at the little tv they have in the top corner
at the car wash whilst the big bristles are going around everywhere like you’re inside a tooth getting cleaned
Reading a 3 day old paper while waiting for a Chinese is one of life’s great pleasures
Often have a fruit machine in there too if you fancy a quick go.
in the queue for a scary looking rollercoaster that’s gonna kick your ass!
at the gig near the front looking at all the gubbins the guitarist has on their pedalboard
standing next to the BBQ occasionally moving about a sausage and remarking on how hot you’re getting
at the fireworks display 20 mins before it starts, icy cold clear night but you’ve wrapped up warm
early morning out in front of the school for the coach trip to the museum/cadbury world…oh yeah and you’re a child
In a queue with like-minded patriots waiting to pay respects to Her Majesty HRH Queen Elizabeth II
at the bus stop after work and you’ve got, let’s say, 8 minutes; time for a smoke and you’re a smoker
caught out in a sudden massive downpour so you’re hunkering down beneath the boughs of a big tree for shelter
The only time I really miss smoking now is when I’m waiting for something.
miss the comradery of being in the smoking area at work a bit
Swap the big tree for a bandstand (or something actually capable of keeping the rain off) and I’m there, nice place to wait
at somebody’s surprise birthday party and you’re all hiding and keeping quiet waiting for them to walk through the door like in a movie
Crewe station
This thread just makes me realise how impatient I am
