When I first started to get into Kozelek and Sun Kil specifically I was so taken aback by the brutal honesty of songs. I felt like he was an author writing the book and I was the director putting my own vision on the film. If that makes sense. He puts you right in his life ,fabulous storyteller.

I’m not really a musician just a guy who fucks about on his computer recording stuff sometimes, I don’t want to come across as vain I just think it’s important to break down the myth of the genius artist vs ordinary people who can also make art, that’s why I compare myself to any other artist
