It’s my parenting day today - might go to toddler group to socialise The Child a bit or might just sit around the house while she shouts at me. It’s chilly outside. Wor Lass might be off work, so that could be the deal breaker.
I’m making Jamaican fishstew later.
A friend from New York has just messaged to say that he’s having a one night stop over in London. He arrives on Friday morning and has 24 hours in London before getting another flight up to Edinburgh. So I do need to figure how to take the day off on Friday without using up my leave allowance.

In my latest attempt to make friends in a city I’ve lived in for 6 years I’ve got a Bumble BFF date tonight and we’re going for Chinese
Fucked off today. Only thing keeping me relatively sane at the moment is exercising, and an old chronic (undiagnosed, hooray!) condition has reoccured meaning I can’t even walk the dog 
Still, nearly the weekend eh?
Keep catching a whiff of something and worrying that I smell, but I think the tip that my office looks into is just a bit pungent today.
God my life is glamorous.
Kind of lame, but the smug feeling of going home in the middle of the day and have a nap is pretty hard to beat tbf.

So very tired. My mum and dad are still with us and my dad is just a booze monster. I love seeing them but this is like a holiday for him and I didn’t have any time off left so I’m having to get up while he sleeps it off. Looking forward to a cup of hot chocolate and an early night after they’ve gone home.

Just Oslo (but I love it here). Visiting collaborators, then a conference next week near the Vinterpark!
