Yeah, I so want to dive into that world but have no interest in multiplayer only. Same with the Nightreign, I hope that whatever From are working on in the background gets at least announce soon and is more single player focused.
Was just picking something up from Argos, and in the waiting area they had a kiosk with a Switch 2 and DK Bananza running on it. I must admit, I was annoyed that the little girl playing it didn’t leave before my stuff came out: I wanted a go!!

Really don’t need to pick up Elden Ring on Switch 2 (played it loads on Xbox), but something’s switched in my brain this week and is telling me I must be able to play it handheld. Trying to resist…
I know I will be picking this up at some point. I am still amazed I can play Dark Souls on the train so being able to make my way around the lands between from the comfort of my own bed in the winter months is just too appealing to pass up.

I think you could still love them just as much. Dynasty Warriors doesn’t make Dark Souls rubbish after all

Anyone tried Elden Ring yet? I’m on the very last boss on the PS5 version so won’t be indulging just now, but unless it’s awful I’ll definitely be getting it for S2 eventually
Trying to resist until it’s on sale at some point. Got enough games I’ve not played already to get through/tempted to give Lies of P a try first. Definitely will get it eventually.

Any opinions on Reanimal and Split Fiction?
I got it as I couldn’t resist having it on Switch. Haven’t played since I finished the DLC not long after it came out and really loving being able to play handheld so easily. Just got down to Castle Morne.
Theres a little but of pop in and a little less grass in some areas but everything is really sharp in handheld and pretty good docked too.
The frame rate feels good in handheld. The lower framerate is noticeable when docked but its been consistent so far for me and feels completely fine. Very happy with it overall and just want to keep playing it.

Split fiction is great, not played the Switch version but me and the Mrs absolutely loved playing through it on the PS5. Plot is absolutely crazy and falls apart if you poke it with the gentlest of prods but the gameplay and variety is excellent. We are going to play through it again at some point before the end of the year and switch around the characters we played.

Reanimal has a demo you can play which I enjoyed. Was waiting for a sale before I actually buy it though as I’ve read it’s quite short

The plot works best as “mad professor traps test subjects in crazy experiment”. Not quite “Dr Wily has made the robots go crazy again” but very much an excuse for the gameplay… which is absolutely fine.
Did prefer It Takes Two overall, but it’s a great action-orientated dose of a similar thing done very well.
The last level is actually jaw dropping though. On a “how did they actually accomplish this” level. Won’t spoil further for any who haven’t played it yet.

I’m new to this and didn’t properly check what I was buying … What on Earth is the point of a code in a box?! Such waste.
It’s the future! Also pretty disappointing because I feel Nintendo could corner the physical media market with everyone else abandoning it, but they do cartridges for all their big games I think?
