That was a bit dull. Maybe the first time there’s been nothing at all that I’m fussed about, I think.
I’ll raise you the E3 2015 direct.
The trailer for the game that’s literally just building campfires seemed to last for eternity
I’m going to be harassed for FC26 by a child and then I’ll play it more than him.
Will probably play persona 3 and cronos if it’s well received. Everything else is a miss
What was announced? You’d expect they’d have a bunch of big third party ports etc. lined up in Y1 of the console…
I watched it and I can barely remember.
Lots of Square guff, ports of the first Yakuza games, some arduous campfire simulator and FIFA (or whatever they call it now).
We’re all buying that today so we can hang out together, right? Right?

Monster Hunter Stories 3: This time it looks like BOTW / TOTK edition
Oh, and Hela. Whatever that is.
MH Stories seems like a cool wee series and I liked the demo of the second one, but I can’t see any reason to play it over any of 376 other JRPGS.
Star Wars Outlaws is the most 6.5/10 game of all time. Even for Ubisoft. And even as someone who will hand over money for any old Star Wars slop.
Was anyone asking for another Zelda Warriors game? Or another Octopath Traveller sequel? Or another sqenix game with words that sound like Arab Strap song names?
Apex Legends ran at about 11 frames per second at 640x480 on Switch, let’s see if it’s actually playable on Switch 2. Someone else can check, anyway, I don’t care enough.
I’ll probably give the demo a go, but I’m pretty sure I like the idea of these more than the reality of them.
Oh but on a plus note, off the ball physicality was the one thing missing from Fifa games stopping me getting into them, so that’s a day one purchase
Yeah this is shocking for a cross platform list in the launch year of a new console isn’t it?
grim
Betting the house on everyone buying Mario Kart, Donkey Kong and Metroid Prime for Christmas then?
Mirrors the pattern of the Switch release calendar tbf.
A few big Nintendo things, a couple of wonder ports and then a bunch of stuff to appease casuals / Japan.
It’s what I expected. But all I care for really is the next bunch of Nintendo releases
In fairness, there are some big decent things already anounced that I thought we’d have got dates or more info for by now and along with the launch third parties, it’s a relatively strong launch year in terms of cross platform games.
Yes, Cyberpunk, Streetfighter 6 and Hitman are a couple of years old, but they’re big enough to still be relevant. Problem is, pretty much all the big hitters were announced in that April splash and none of the undated ones had updates today.
Love Katamari 1 and 2. Just a massive fan of those games.
I’ve never wanted to go online and roll Katamaris against my friends.
No silksong today?
Don’t forget Pokémon as well. Return of Megas and the first two year gap between releases in decades. I think It’ll do quite well.
