I’ve never played one but we used to play the mini-games in Pokemon Stadium to death, imagine it’s pretty similar?

Never played Pokemon stadium. Kind of like mii sports crossed with warioware Id say.
That review gives you a good overview of all the modes etc.
Can just do mini games on their own, or mini games with boardgame, the rowing game one and the dancing stage style thing too and theres an online bit too.

I liked the idea of doing DiS Games then I saw how limited the online multiplayer really was… cmon Nintendo!

Literally just watching a video of this now. 5 minigame series. Disappointing you cant do the boards or rowing though. Would still be up for some minigame competitions though.
Could setup a DiS room anyway and add it to the spreadsheet and if anyone wants to play I’m up for it.

pulling a proffy I see

Now there’s an unpleasant mental image!
I think it’s not a bad idea to setup a DiS room for each new big Switch release and keep the codes for them in the spreadsheet and then if Dissers want to play eachother in said games its very easy :man_shrugging:

Really liked the N64 Mario Party games. Think it lost its way a bit from Gamecube onwards when it went a bit too gimmicky/random and had less strategy to it. Think there could be a really good game in there with the original concept, not overcomplicated, with really well-designed mini games.

Kind of just assume that would never be the case in 2018 but never know. Might try a demo if there’s one

BTW, Overcooked 2 has just had an update adding a fourth star for every level. If like me you thought it was a bit too easy.

SMB3 still holds up

Yeah I’ve been playing it this past week. Never played more than the first level before. Surprised how long it is. On World 7-5 and there is NO way I’d be this far in if I couldn’t save at the start of each level.

I’d forgotten how short the levels in world 1 are. Still needed to use a continue to get through it this morning!

If you die, does it let you carry on then? Presumed, being a NES game, it was ‘death = restart’ scenario?

Back to the beginning of the world, but with any shortcuts you opened left unlocked. - so I could skip straight to 1-5. Not sure if it’s unlimited continues or not.

Amazed that this is a NES game tbh, other than graphically it doesn’t feel like one at all.

Yeah I’ve played a handful of the other games and they were pretty much unplayable. This doesn’t feel like a game from that era at all, and I’m finding latter game surprises that I’ve not seen in any other Mario game.

The best 2d Mario game IMHO.

Super Mario Party: bloody great fun. Me and the Mrs played it for about 4 hours yesterday and only once did we play a mini game a second time. Also tried the rowing game and the online. Pretty great I reckon. Can only do a 5 mini game tournament online but it played fine. Great stuff altogether.

Just bought into the breach. Sitting in the back room playing it and listening to some tunes, bliss. Fucking hard though.

Quite annoyed, I bought the sequel on Steam and haven’t played it yet. Would obviously prefer it on the Switch.

bought this and mini metro last weekend after succumbing to the craving for a bit of light strategy that wouldn’t break the bank. enjoying both so far.
