I will post many gloating pictures if it actually happens.

Far more concerned about this deal than my mortgage application

Still worth it.

In short: Prime 4 has been scrapped and they’re starting development from scratch, but this time with Retro involved

UPDATE: Deal has been agreed, subject to a condition with my bank manager (Mrs HYG) that I spend no money on wanker beer for at least a month. It is tough but fair.

The product is apparently one Switch with all accessories minus the thing that turns the JoyCons into a pad (which may turn up later) and four physical games (Zelda, MarioKart, Splatoon and Arms - will probably flog these latter two for beer money, SMART). He reckons he also has FIFA and Golf Story digitally, but I guess I won’t be able to access these if I factory reset it or set up a new account?

Can you and @Jeremys_Iron stagger your Zelda playing please?

Will probably be too intimidated to actually play it.

Only thing I’m super keen to play is Celeste, weirdly?

Brave move, but also typically Nintendo to say this isn’t up to scratch, we’re not releasing this when it comes to mainline titles.

I do like that they’ve announced it as a delay to a title that didn’t really have a release date.

(Splatoon is good, keep it)

At the very least try it!

Happy to wait longer and get a great Prime 4 by Retro, it’s not like we’re short on stuff to play. I do wonder what this means for 2020’s big Nintendo properties though. We got Mario, Mario Kart, Zelda and Splatoon in 2017, Smash and Pokemon in 2018, Luigi’s Mansion, Animal Crossing and another Pokemon for 2019. Presuming Prime 4 will not be done by next year, so that really only leaves Fire Emblem as Nintendo’s only biggie we know is in development for a 2020 release. I wonder if there’s a stealth Starfox or F-Zero in development that we don’t know about. I’d expect there’s some kind of headline-status 2D Mario along the lines of Mario Maker in the works, they’d be daft not to. My (probably foolish) big hope is for them to be working on a really lavish 2D Zelda, but we’ve heard rumblings of a new Zelda with with the BotW engine in development as well.

Aye, better to not release anything at all than to release some crap.

Was expected to be one of the big releases for this year, and was one I had high hopes for, so this is a bit concerning, as far as this year being better than last year goes.

Guess I can just replay BOTW for the next 5 years.

Wonder if they’ll port Metroid Prime Trilogy or HD version of Samus Returns to take its place now.

Not often mentioned because of the Switch re-release, but it’s been five years since the last Mario Kart.

Mk8d is still selling so well though. I reckon mk9 is being held for switch.
What ever retro have been working away on for a few years must be due to release soon if they’re jumping into prime4 now.

I’m after another Switch game to play between Isaac runs.
Hollow Knight or Dead Cells or Moonlighter?
Leaning towards Moonlighter, it looks interesting but not heard many people talk about it.

Err… maybe… Dead Cells?
