Well that’s me fucked, then.

Any love for Gris here?

I hated it. Barely a game.

Which I know is half the point etc etc but the message was a bit trite too. It looked nice, though, I suppose?

Ah, okay. I wondered if it was platform-y like Celeste, wasn’t sure.

Nah, it’s very mildly puzzley but not in that careful timing/execution way that Celeste is.

You’re always going on about Celeste. Let it go hyggers, you’re never going to meet her.

Cesleste la vie

I thought it was beautiful and I shed a little tear. It’s a massive exercise in style, movement and abstract storytelling, with an incredible soundtrack.

But it’s short and doesn’t involve much actual gaming.

Oh yeah the soundtrack is good, but it’s on Spotify so I’ve got no reason to open the game, which is good.

I am maybe slightly ahead of you in Hollow Knight! I think I have two extra notches. What areas have you unlocked? I think I found or was given a notch, but there’s also a shop where you can buy them.

I tried the Mantis Lords a couple of times but left them for later. The nearest bench is annoyingly placed.

Found out last night my wife is much better than me at Tetris99. turns out she played it a fair bit in her youth. She hit 10th place on her first go and got top 20 in probably 75% of her goes. That’s before I started to explain the new attacking options, which she wasn’t aware of. She’ll go far…

I’m out tonight so her plan, once the kids are asleep, is to have the footy on the telly whilst playing Tetris on the switch.

My map shows Greenpath, Fungal Wastes, City Of Tears, and Soul Sanctum. I’ve also seen a lot of Fog Canyon but haven’t seen Cornifer to buy a map for that yet, and I’ve just set foot in the Royal Waterways.

Trying not to look at guides etc. as really enjoying discovering stuff now that this game has opened up, but can’t help but feel I should have picked up more notches than the one I did find.

Thanks though, I went back to the charm shop in the Crossroads and realised I had enough charms to qualify for buying a notch.

this looks fun! Might be like hearthstone with less wankers

It’s been out for a few years on other platforms. It’s more complicated than Hearthstone, in that it’s more or less what Magic: the Gathering would be if it was designed to be a digital card game from the outset. Same resource system, for better or worse.

I have a love/hate relationship with it, really. They do some really cool things with the digital aspect that would be unfeasible to do in a physical game… but it’s still a dude-basher card game where you turn 3/2s sideways until somebody wins.

I’m fine with that if people aren’t sarcastic shits when I’m losing and the RNG isn’t too bad. Downloading it now on PC, hopefully the tutorials are good

Valkyria chronicles 4 is 50% off btw.

Right click avatar --> mute, every game.

Is it still so… brown?

It’s very colourful now. Lots of different card backs and premium avatars etc.
