I’m literally waiting for Skyrim to update then I will be starting it, my first ever Elder Scrolls game.

Anything that I must know before starting, without spoiling things?

Dont go in expecting the game to blow u away

It’s an old game, everyone loves it because we got it when it came out…7 years ago

That said, I’ll be buying for the 3rd time on Switch when it’s next on sale.

Oh wow. It certainly looks dated. I am a Wood Elf. Hope that is a good choice.

…and my Wood Elf’s joycon batteries are depleted

skyrim is actually really relaxing, if you go in not expecting to achieve loads in one day and just chip away at it, you’ll have a great time.

Mario Party.

Never played Skyrim until the Switch release and didn’t really know what it was about. It is very relaxing and lovely and the world and the lore are interesting and inviting to explore, feels much richer and less repetitive than BotW. But be warned it’s filled with infuriating bugs, the more I played the less I could ignore them. In a brand new game the cutting corners that led to so many easily fixed bugs getting in would be scandalous, in a game a few months old it’d be a pisstake that they’d not been patched, in a fucking rerelease it’s an absolute outrage. First and last Bethesda purchase for me. I’ve bought it now and not into it, so I’ll finish it, but I don’t think I’ll buy another game Bethesda develop.

Fallout 76 features a bug that was present in fallout 4 that was succesfully modded out by the community and has been known about for years but still hasnt been fixed by bethesda

Played the remaster on ps4 recently and it blew me away all over again. Bloody love skyrim so much. Didn’t have many issues with bugs.

My one piece of advice? Bows! Bow combat is so much more satisfying than any other. Spells can be fun too. Arrows and spells.

Beat the main story in Odyssey last night, don’t think a game has ever made me smile so much before

It is a good choice as they smash it for learning bow. If you walk around in stealth all the time you’ll be able to one shot everything haha.

Even though I’ve got so many games i’ve yet to play, i’ve just caved in and brought Crypt of the Necromancer and Yoku’s Island Express as they were both on offer.

I’ve glad you’ve said Yoku is on offer, as I played the demo and thought it was great. For £7.99, that’s a bargain

Utterly charming game. Production values of a Nintendo game, great idea, loads of secrets, doesn’t outstayed it’s welcome. Tied for my game of 2018.

Some good deals. Mario Vs Rabbids, Axiom Verge, LA Noire and Starlink all loads cheaper.

Decent but you’d think Starlink and LA Noire would go cheaper still. LA Noire is £12 in most shops and starlinks gone as low as 17.99 physical and that comes with toys of Fox McCloud and the Arwing (which as a Nintendo man-child I am masively tempted to buy). Theyre improving sales wise but still a way to go for big titles.

Is this poss because retailers boot off when the online shop undercuts them?

Its because those toys take up a lot of shelf space

True, reviews say the digital version of the game is better though as you don’t have to swap all the plastic bits around loads. It’ll go even cheaper next year I reckon.
