Mario vs Rabbids at just over £11 is a good deal, right? Think I’ll get it. Also just picked up death Squared…not seen it mentioned on here but has received some decent reviews…and it was £1.49

Also, finding myself getting regularly pumped online at Smash. Always throw in a few cheap deaths to help the rage. Think I’m going to give a short break…quickly became my most played game over January but now is a good time to get into my backlog

Its worth £11

Unlocked 1 by accident and wasn’t in love with it, I got to admit.

Pretty amazing that there are a whopping 96 levels to find in there mind. Like how Nintendo do a route through their games to say you’ve beaten it but if you want to fully explore it’s every nook and cranny it’s a whole other experience.

Yeah it’s a really decent game. Full of charm, genuinely funny at times, and some deep mechanics and fun battles to be had.

MarioRabbids is solid, a little bit easy but charming enough. Worth £11 and imagine it’d be a bit more fun if I hadn’t played through XCOM a bunch of times.

Getting into strategy games currently, and am also a bit stuck on some harder games…so a more forgiving challenge might be nice.

@vamos stupidly the only thing that put me off before was Rabbids. Would probably have bought it already if it were just a Mario game :man_facepalming:

I’d be interested in your thoughts if/when you get round to it. Probably nostalgia driven but I think it’s the best 2d platformer, looks incredible for a snes game, if it comes out on SNES online I’d ban yourself play back it’s not the toughest.

I don’t blame you, but they’re honestly ok. They predated Minions and are WAY less annoying than those abominations. Rabbis Peach is legit amusing.

I’m not really one for ‘cutezy’ stuff but wasn’t annoyed by the Rabbids there was an article out there by the creator at some point and it was pretty clear how much of a Nintendo fan he was and the game feels as ‘nintendo-y’ as the 2nd party stuff like the tennis games and that.
The XCOM slights are really just based on the game not quite having the perfect gameplay feel to shoot through multiple runs of the same game but then for me there’s few that can match XCOM. I’d give it a go, let us know how you get on with it.

I bought Child of Light for peanuts in the sale and I am really enjoying it

Nice game. The combat gets repetitive but the design and music is lovely.

I miss UBI Art :frowning: [Valiant Hearts, Child of Light, Rayman Legends]

I’m really enjoying it now about 8 hours in. It’s a bit… y’know… but the combat system is nicely engaging without being overly thinky.

Yeah, solid puzzle game, with a high level of polish for the price. Probably get at least two pints worth of entertainment.

The combat is fun but I hit a point where the story stuff was taking up a bit too much time for me. Still got it isntalled, seems like it’ll be easy to return to, the combat is satisfying but cant say I’m fully jiving with the systems outside of the actual combat. I think I was about 10 - 12hrs in when I stated getting fatigued.

Rabbids is a great game, and I even really quote enjoyed the animations. Thoroughly recommend it!

And Death Squared is quite good also, especially at that price. It’s a nice fun/frustrating/challenging co-op game. I can’t remember how far we got into it though, but didn’t end up completing it anyhow, as I think Overcooked became our co-op game of choice back then.

Oi dickheads, we almost forgot that today is Dead Cells DLC day!!!

I have it downloading as we speak but not sure if I will be able to play it today (or fucking ever!)

This was pretty much me. I can’t get my head round how I had the patience to complete all the levels without the kind of extra help you can access on the switch/ snes mini

I’ve been unwell recently and really enjoying games that are short, not in any way demanding and very beautiful to look at.

Finished Gris recently and today finished Far Lone Sails. Loved them both, glad I didn’t pay full prices they really are short but both were exactly what I wanted as comfort gaming.
