Sometimes he will wear a casual plimsoll

Super Paper Mario kinda was. Loved that the Wii.

This is what I love so much about modern day Nintendo. So many games where they just go “hey guys today we’re announcing this game and btw it’s pretty much ready to go and you can play it in two months’ time.”

This is utterly incredible. So soon! And without a direct! Wow.

This has me wary, not a fan of ring puzzles

Weird they didn’t mention it in the direct last month. Maybe they have something planned for the winter they weren’t sure will be finished in time so were considering delaying this until then.

It’s the best Mario game on the Switch - you should start it already!

that can’t be true surely…have you played odyssey?

Pumped for this. It looks inventive and weird and I love Nintendo when they’re inventive and weird.

I mainly just wanted to cause a little bit of controversy. I played and enjoyed Odyssey, but it became less fun as it went on collecting all of the moons or stars or whatever they were.
But Mario and Rabbids is definitely very good. Thoroughly recommend it!

I think I had a Paper Mario game for the gamecube or Wii, but it didn’t click with me for whatever reason and I don’t think I played too much of it. But maybe I’d like it more now that I’m really enjoying a whole heap of turn based games.

I have a problem now on switch, I have too many games, always end up buying stuff when it’s heavily discounted in a sale

Yep! I must have 50+ games on my Switch now, and possibly only five of them were bought at full price. I now have such a backlog that I know that I can happily ignore any new releases and just wait for them to go on sale (whilst buying other games that go on nice juicy sales in the meantime!).

Am going to try and do a few shortish games to just clear a few of the backlog. Currently playing through The Touryst, which is a mix of being charming and a bit infuriating, but mostly nice enough.

Did you ever clear MEGA PICROSS or whatever that mode is?

Got through all the rest of S3 the other day but decided I couldn’t really be bothered with that. The colour ones were really fun though!

Yep, finally completed all of S3 last week, including the Mega ones. I can’t leave any of the levels uncompleted, so am glad that they’re out of the way. But I haven’t had the urge to go back and try and improve my times on any of the levels this time - in the previous Picross games it would irritate me if most games on one screen had a sub ten minute time, and then one random level had a 20-30 minute time, so I would need to go back to that and ‘tidy up’ that time. This time any high times can stay that way!

Colour Picross was fun/different, but I’m glad there wasn’t loads of levels, as they were mostly quote slower to figure out and couldn’t get any nice momentum with them.

A couple of the normal ones were fucked! Had no idea how to do them so had to resort to using the roulette thing. There was one that I sat staring at for 45+ minutes

also after like 100 hours in S1 and 40 hours in this one, I learnt that if you hold down R you get a little guide thing that counts the number of spaces for you

Oh yes, there was one normal level which I bitched about in this thread. I had to look on YouTube to see what the next step was, as I kept getting stick in the same place. I read in a comment which section it was (as a few people had the same issue), and then I looked at the area and made myself figure it out before continuing and completing the level. But gosh that was annoying!

I’ve come across the R counting thing before (generally by accidentally clicking it), but never used it for whatever reason.
