I remember as a kid having a Game Boy and when I’d finished Pokemon it had an internal timer that showed I’d spent 24 hours playing it, and I was like, woah, an entire day of my life grinding through nonsense, and feeling a weird sense of shame (mixed with some pride, I guess).

When I bought my Switch, I would have told you I’d never have time to play another game for the length of time I played FFVII, where I broke the clock at 99 hours and 59 minutes, or wherever it stopped.

Turns out, 3 games have exceeded that, one of them (Animal Crossing) within in a number of days, and I certainly wouldn’t rule against there being more. Zero gamer guilt, I think I mainly play during time I’d have just spent staring at my phone before.

I love it. Game changer for me tbh. I was getting really bad cramps and pain in my wrists from playing handheld. I had a spare case but that’s gone now. They’re pretty cheap ($16?) but comes from China so can take weeks to arrive.

Curry’s have good deals at the minutes where you can get most 1st party games for 35 or less. Edit - with a code.
