Has anyone played the Street Fighter collection? Thinking about getting it while on sale for Mrs Z - wanted to know if it’s any good.

touchscreen thumpin’, which i reckon is actually better than using joycons.

however if we want to battle we’ll need joycons

Joycon control sucked from what I played in the demo

Yeah I found the swing and the sideways twist very unintuitive

I feel good - I started and finished two games from my backlog this weekend! Both had been on sale at some point, and worth any cheap prices they go for. And both were strangely very colour themed. Maybe 4 or so hours each.

First was Chromagun:

It’s kind of like a very low budget attempt of Portal mixed with The Talos Principle. Mixing colours with your paint gun to move floating orbs and open doors and escape the various puzzle rooms.

Followed by Hue:

Sort of reminding me of Wandersong with its wheel colour selecting controls. But preferred it to Wandersong - just getting on with the nice puzzles instead of too much traipsing about between levels.

Both games were nicely challenging and satisfying, especially as I didn’t have to resort to figuring out how to do any of the levels.

Just the 12-15 games left in the backlog now.

This is now 90% off the eShop at £1.09.

Picked it up with my points, based on that 10/10 NintendoLife review.

I’ve done the same, got it for free - shocked at the file size but that will encourage me to actually play it so I can archive it and make more room (lol I will never play it)

It’s because there are a LOT of cut scenes in Horace (they interrupt the gameplay a fair bit), and they did them as video files rather than anything else (or so I read). It’s far from a 10/10 for me, as I mentioned up in the thread… but defo worth a punt/enough enjoyment for a quid!

Hi yes this sounds absolutely great. Was it absolutely great?

It’s not as absolutely great as either of those other two games, and I wouldn’t pay full price for it (£17), but it was still good fun. It’s often on sale to about £5 or £6, but I managed to snap it up for less than £2 a month or two ago.

There’s a decent demo of it for you to download and assess the absolutely greatness of it though.

This question has probably got asked loads but what’s the best wireless pro-controller? I’m going to order one today and don’t really want to spend £53 on an official one if the cheaper versions are just as good…

A. Bit cheaper:

Or if you already have a Bluetooth controller from any other system this might be a good option:

The pro controller is pretty great tbf

I got one for about that and it works but it doesn’t even feel like it was worth what I paid for it.

A million times this

£60 great, though?

Depends how much you use it I suppose. I often play docked and over a couple of years I’ve definitely got enough use out of them to justify it

I really didn’t think I needed one at first and it seemed folly blowing £60 on it at the time.

But I adore it. Most comfortable, decently weighted controller I’ve ever owned. Battery lasts forever and the gyro aiming is great if you like that sorta thing (it is optional though).

Wish I’d bought it sooner!

hmmm, this is very high praise
