guys LA is in the top 5 zelda games, without breaking a sweat.

i would usually be very xylo about this but i’m too tired. you’re just breathtakingly wrong

You’re blinded by nostalgia. Its the 2nd worse official zeldq

replayed nearly all of them the past few years, inc. spirit tracks, hourglass. just need to get hold of a Wii to finish up.

but saying it’s the ‘second worst’ is just taking the piss uttterly.

(actually feel like you’re goading a bit now!)

There’s a great game hiding being the worst of LucasArts design. My word it’s tedious.

started watching playthroughs of the late stage game and remembered how criminal the camera angles were

I’m not goading this has been opinion ive actively stated several times the last couple years. I’ve not changed my opinion to spite you just throwing my 2 pennies when recommending a 40pound video game to someone who asked for a game similar to botw which you then assumed I was doing because you don’t like the look of celeste

i just can’t get my mind around thinking it’s the second worst zelda game. that’s jaw dropping to me. might do a zelda thread

tbf i was incredibly specific about why it’s not like BOTW, repeatedly. no?

This is fun stuff

LA is my favourite Zelda ever but I wouldn’t recommend it to someone in 2020 who hadn’t played and loved the original (unless it was a tenner)

You were and I basically said if thats what you’re looking for, a big expansive ope world game ala botw its probably a terrible value because its a pretty poor value as a top down linear adventure game

fair play. we’re def at a disconnect and clearly both played the heck out of all the zeldas. i shall quietly mark you down as ‘probably secretly a murderer’ on the spreadsheet and call it even

Tbf you’re not wrong

2nd worst main zelda wasn’t me saying it was abad game just that certain aspects are bad such as the framerate, lack of dungeon variety and later game item obtaining. If I remember correctly the inventory stuff was kinda lame to. But all the non Treforce heroes and CD I Zelda games are all good

Its the content of a gameboy game and think people should consider that before buying

Still and always my number 1. But what was a technical marvel on the Gameboy is thin gameplay wise on the Switch. I got my £40 worth thanks to my love of the original and the charm of the graphic design of the remake, but must as it possible me to say, for those without that nostalgia it’s probably a £20 or less title.

Do not text while walking friends. Nonsense will come out of your phone’s keyboard.

Tricky one as Zelda is night and day better than these, but:

Xenoblade 1&2, Witcher 3, Skyrim, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag and Immortals all have big world’s you can explore and get lost in.

Loved it! Shooting is a bit crap in 2020 but the humour, storyline, acting etc is all surprisingly good.

If you loved the films, it’s basically an unofficial Ghostbusters 3 (and has a few good ideas of its own, amidst the blatant retreads of the original films iconic scenes).

Night and Day better than Witcher 3 may be a stretch, they both do different things very well!

Yup further to what people have said, Steamworld Dig 2 isn’t quite a platformer but damned good.

I loved Shovel Knight, especially the Spectre of Torment campaign within it, and Guacamelee.

There are tons of good 2D platformers on the Switch Online service too.
