There isn’t any point getting the Nintendo switch branded version over a normal sdxc card is there?

Nope

Well, there’s the little mushroom logo on it - can’t get those from SanDisk’s own version.

Depends what you want to do (from a couple of days experience). The core activities for the day are really done with after an hour or two BUT you can spend as long as you like visiting islands, gathering materials, building things, capturing critters, grinding for miles and bells… And the grind is a pretty relaxing loop. Have sunk a number of hours into it each day of the last couple of days without ever getting bored.

At some point it does feel like you’re getting diminishing returns on that day, but I have liked that there’s a natural conclusion to it (time to go to bed/do something else) rather than up until the early hours glued to the screen.

Been chatting Nintendo with a colleague this morning. Had to explain what the NES and SNES are. Maaaan, I feel old. This is worse than when I got a blank stare in response to a Zig and Zag reference.

Oops, this wasn’t meant to be a reply here!

hahaha

Take it here, pal.

Still plugging away with Fire Emblem. 20 hours deep now (a third of the way though maybe?), so I can’t hate it.

Do enjoy the main missions quite a lot, but most the other battles feel like pure grinding, and I still don’t really “get” the RPG elements. Mostly, you just click on one flag, go to that area, someone will give you a clue, a flag will pop up telling you who the next person you will need to talk to is, you instantly transport there… All feels a bit pointless. And OMG after every mission there’s like 20 minutes of conversations with Whatsherface and Whatshisface from the monastery.

One thing I do I like the tea, it feels quite silly and fun. Cut the other crap, just have a couple of cups of tea between battles, sort everything out, move on.

I tell you what the lads at Nintendo should do, release all the N64 games they are sitting on to the online service.

So we can all spend a total of about an hour realising that N64 games don’t play as well as new games and then start asking when they are going to release those GameCube games they are sitting on?

The only N64 game I’m likely to return to is Mario… but only because I dont have access to the better versions of Mario 64

Nintendo really should do some kind of online sale of exercise games or something at the moment (2 copies of Ring Fit Adventure on sale on amazing for £350 at the mo!).

I dug out my copy of Just Dance 2018 and just did some form of exercise for the first time in ages since I’ve been working from home last Tuesday. Will see if I continue with it. If it doesn’t drive me mad then maybe I’ll pay for a subscription for a month just so that I can find some songs that I like!

Scrap that. I’ve been playing Slay The Spire during the day, hoping for the new update to come, as I think it was due at 4. I thought I would just load it up again and now it tells me there is a new update to download!
Time to dig in to the new character!

if they do release Mario 64, it should be the Mario 64 DS version.

I’d quite like them to remake Mario Sunshine, as it’s my favourite Mario game

Loved it when it was out on the ‘cube. Was about 13, mind. No idea if I’d still enjoy it half as much today. Part of the reason I really want a remake
