Yeah it never felt so good to me though. It was hard to keep Lara pointed where you want to or gauge when you needed to jump.

Really can’t see them getting rid of F-Zero. Tetris is still going but Mario was an anniversary thing and don’t think it had as much effort put into it as the other two.
Ah yes, it’s Pac Man 99 that’s being binned - had it as Tetris 99 in my head for some reason.
Funnily enough I probably enjoyed the Mario one most. But that’s probably because 2D Mario platformers are amongst the few games I’m genuinely quite good at.
Having played the NES Super Mario Bros for over thirty years on various consoles probably helps with that!

Given it was a Direct of “here’s some stuff to tide you over until we announce the next console next year”, it was fine. I expected worse. Full of stuff that I’d play in theory (RPG, Paper Mario, Peach, Mario vs DK), but in practice, won’t bother when they ask £50 for them.

I still haven’t gotten to the Metroid Prime remaster so in terms of nostalgia-tickling wishlist fodder I’m good for a long while I think. that’s nice.
I’m not on NSO atm but sorely tempted to slam some F-Zero when I finish Elden Ring.
that’s a whole lotta games that aren’t doing it for me there. i know this is bread and butter nintendo stuff but it all seems so rehashed.

wonder if now is a good time to sell my switch with TOTK while it’s still worth a few quid, then inevtiably buy switch 2 and twilight princess remaster for 7000 pounds in a years time

Yes, probably. I’m banking on still being able to sell the Switch for something (plus a few games I don’t want anymore) to fund a chunk of the Switch 2 monies when it’s launched, but I still want to play my OG in the meantime. If there isn’t anything doing it for you on that list and you can do without it, selling it before Xmas seems the way to go

The cynic in me wonders if the relatively crappy looking new stuff like LM2 and the DLC MK8 tracks are helping to increase the wow factor when Switch 2 games are revealed!

Not really an AC guy.
Had a wee look to see if there was anything else I’d like but not much.
Still gutted I missed the XC3 notebook to be honest.
The Zelda keychain seems to be back though for any who missed it initially.
edit: might be something cool for Mario Wonder and RPG soon maybe?

Having such a blast with F-Zero 99. So simple but so fun. Tough as nails, managed to finish 2nd in a race but was very flukey.
Love all the little neat touches they’ve added, feels like they’ve put a lot of love into it
