Nintendo Switch Thread 2024

I wish they’d released the DLC for 3 as standalone, it’s a tighter 20 hour story which really moves and you get the same great story, art design and combat. Them releasing that DLC around TotK is still such a silly decision.

That said, still think XC3 is one of the best games I’ve played, but like you said no chance I am every playing it again due to the time it takes

I am about 35 hrs in and broadly really loving it. Much more so than XC2 or X. Do need to finish it off

DLC sounds awesome too.

If they just cut down the length of these games, I think it would be so beneficial

About fucking time they give everyone outside Japan a legal way to listen to their soundtracks.

Oh, and it’s included in your Nintendo online account - was sure it was gonna be an extra monthly subscription.

Loads of games they need to add but a decent selection to start - Wii channels, metroid prime, and donkey kong country.

Listening to Ocarina of Time as I get out of bed. Today is going to be a good day!

So good. Now, sega, do the same

AH YEAH, always listen to them. i own the streets of rage soundtracks, so fucking good. shits on anything on the SNES.

but just imagine a playlist with Let Mom Sleep, Flying Battery Zone, Go Straight and Passing Breeze

There are plenty of sega playlists or you could make your own

Anyone played Carrion? Worth a go at a fiver?

Deffo - controlling the monster is very satisfying and that in it’s self is worth the price of entry. Didn’t finish it but what I did play of it - I had a good time

Yeah it’s a lot of fun although a fairly standard metroidvania in structure. Never gets boring wasting henchmen as the monster.

Mate came round and dropped off a late birthday present, £30 eshop voucher.

Got Yoku island express, Carrion, Moving Out and finally on the Vampire Survivors train

The Nintendo Online Playtest Program is, in my view, dogshit.

That’s it.

Haven’t gone back to it since :person_shrugging: Tuesday.

Cba with the in-game licence test you need to pass for being allowed to create shareable outfits, cos of the restriction of it only being available at fixed times ~3 hrs apart.

Feel like I had a poke around at the fundamentals of most other stuff, in terms of the mechanics of it. Dunno if levelling up would’ve opened up more stuff.

Barely more than a rudimentary tech demo* though, really, so difficult to have much of an opinion.

*Some sort of Animal Crossing, in space, with a Minecraft skin, thing. So not the kind of game is usually throw myself in to. Presumably an exercise in network stress-testing, or something similar, for them?
