I wish they’d released the DLC for 3 as standalone, it’s a tighter 20 hour story which really moves and you get the same great story, art design and combat. Them releasing that DLC around TotK is still such a silly decision.
That said, still think XC3 is one of the best games I’ve played, but like you said no chance I am every playing it again due to the time it takes
Deffo - controlling the monster is very satisfying and that in it’s self is worth the price of entry. Didn’t finish it but what I did play of it - I had a good time
Cba with the in-game licence test you need to pass for being allowed to create shareable outfits, cos of the restriction of it only being available at fixed times ~3 hrs apart.
Feel like I had a poke around at the fundamentals of most other stuff, in terms of the mechanics of it. Dunno if levelling up would’ve opened up more stuff.
Barely more than a rudimentary tech demo* though, really, so difficult to have much of an opinion.
*Some sort of Animal Crossing, in space, with a Minecraft skin, thing. So not the kind of game is usually throw myself in to. Presumably an exercise in network stress-testing, or something similar, for them?
