NME returning in print

Unexpected news. Oddly, it’s exclusive to Dawsons but I can’t find hardly any stores on google maps and their online store isn’t open yet

If its in newspaper form I’m all over it, even if the writing is still shite.

Wan’t one of the supposed reasons for its decline was that things were not covered fast enough with weekly print as opposed to the internet? i’m sure bi monthly is the way to go then…

I think that is a great format for a music mag, so was quite surprised that The Pitchfork Review was a bit of a flop. Not sure NME could make it work.

There’s a lot of money behind NME nowadays

if you wanted to you could argue that almost anything in life was unnecessary

Also here’s a Figma board that’s worth a look to see where the money is coming from for various big music orgs https://www.figma.com/file/J8sUNwKITwX5yFzTb1KAWP/Music-Rights-%2B-Tech-Ownership-Chart?node-id=0%3A1&t=VuMbNs1B5E1MbAYj-1

Which magazines do you get?

Assuming you’re a https://www.goldflakepaint.co.uk/ reader?

Bimonthly, there will be a new edition on the first and last days of each month

Bringing back a defunct magazine sold exclusively through a defunct shop is an interesting move

Sells guitars/instruments, closed down all their shops last year so this is an interesting move

(Fetches hat and umbrella) ‘And now to Dawsons, to pick up my bimonthly copy of the NME!’

Nope, could be an interesting idea though. I write for it but still have to go and hunt one down in the wild when it comes out!

Less petrol used than vinyl

Hope the adverts are as good as the ones on the website
