I’m currently sitting in a school hall, while my daughter is tested on whether she’s eligible for a different coloured belt in the art of kicking the shit out of people.

If you thought your hamster had died, tweeted about it and then found out the hamster was (just about) still alive and had the energy to take some hand-fed food, would you

  • Keep the tweet up with a follow-up tweet saying the hamster is still alive
  • Remove the tweet to avoid any confusion and just post a new one if the hamster does die

Best pal has kept up the tweet with a follow-up and people are still only seeing initial tweet and sending condolences… it is weirding me out, SHE IS ALIVE (for now at least)

I’m doing well at this not leaving the house thing. I did go out briefly, but only as far as the back garden, to prune a tree that had suddenly doubled in size. The room I WFH in should be nice and bright now.

We’ve got as far as lounging on the sofa watching Wall-E now. Tempted to go and make some hot chocolate.
