Didn’t travel to Stourbridge but we won 2-1 to finish second after a nightmare start to the season. We’ll probably lose to South Shields or Warrington but we’ve got home advantage in our divisional play-offs and are coming in on a great run of form. Should be a fun couple of weeks.

Good luck to all those in the play-offs this week! Kind of pleased we got nowhere near them with the clusterfuck the FA have managed to make of them this year.

Hoping to get to Carshalton’s semi-final on Thursday… If I can’t make it there then I ought to get to Haringey and then possibly the final if I am child free on BH Monday.

For us, a strangely anti-climactic final day survival. Hopefully this summer the manager will stay and have the full pre-season to plan and certain heads get banged together behind the scenes to put an end to the nonsensical power struggles.

I’m likely to be at Carshalton v Mersham with some guys from work.

It’ll be the third time that I’ve seen Carshalton v Merstham this season, I went to the home and away league games.

Yup - that’s right. Madness.

Most likely would be Taunton away, they have a bit of a knobhead culture at home amongst sections of their support, sadly - I would expect Salisbury to be 2nd faves. Met have had a great season but I wonder whether this might be a step too far for their relatively small squad (mind you, they’ve confounded expectations all season) and there’s the bonus of them being based in Thames Ditton, so would be a relatively local derby. I can’t see Poole making it at all, even we beat them twice!

As silly as this malarkey is, play-offs are taking place in the Southern League Division 1 Central even though the winners will not gain promotion. Because the sides in that division have the lowest points per game average of the 7 feeder divisions into step 3, only the winners of the play-offs in the other 6 divisions will gain promotion.

Farcical doesn’t even begin to explain it.

Well, that ended well for us! To get second is an amazing achievement on our first season back in the Prem and we could’ve challenged Dorking if we hadn’t conceded about half a dozen added time equalisers or missed about 8 decisive pens!

Merstham have been one of our boogie teams this season but I fancy us at home - as long as they don’t go down to 10 men we’ll be ok :wink:

Seems Colston Avenue is going to be buzzing - lot of Dulwich Hamlet fans online saying they’ll be coming. I can’t wait.

If King’s Lynn wins its divisional play-off then we’ll either be at home to Nantwich or Buxton or away to South Shields or Warrington - 4 hour drives, the both of them. Plus we have a sizeable nobhead away contingent - hoping that a few extra supporters might neutralise the knuckedragging element slightly.

Sponsored the ball at Bristol Manor Farm for the last game of the season, which was quite the thrill. Otherwise, season has fizzled out with them safe, but then turns out everyone is safe as Street have opted out (or something) and drop a division or two, leaving Barnstaple to spawnily stay up.
