Gonna go see Bath City at home to Maidstone tomorrow. Never been to Twerton Park, so looking forward to it. Wonder if Eric Cantona will be there.

The owner of the Yeovil fansite, Ciderspace, Martin ‘Badger’ Baker was found dead today.

Should I feel this sad about someone who I only really nodded at?

@futilityofendeavour did you make it to King’s Lynn v Chester today? Couldn’t make it, which is a shame as it sounded like an excellent match. Lynn are still unbeaten at home (over a year in the league) and are holding their own.

No, it was the reverse fixture in January I’d planned to do as it’s much nearer to where I live. That’s in doubt too as I’ve had to make radical changes to the book I’m writing, especially the order in which I visit the grounds, but sounds like a great result for youse, up to 3rd now and as King’s Lynn were one of the clubs who once applied for election to the Football League your ground’s definitely on the list of my trips.

Oh fair enough! The Walks has a certain charm. I think we’ve been playing there since 1879 which is quite something. Let me know if you intend to visit

And yeah, really creditable result today, sounded like a good atmosphere too.

Well beaten yesterday. Mood not helped by the news that our contracted centre-forward had chosen to go on holiday, our skipper was also apparently away and we’re now second bottom. Not having that. You sign a contract, you make yourself available for the 40 odd weeks of the season.

Maybe he booked it off cause he was hoping for an international call-up :joy:

Probably just overrated his demand. He probably thought Norwich were gonna snap him up

Just about on brief, but I went to Bromley’s ground this weekend for Crystal Palace Women. What an exceptional ground - absolutely loved it.

Steve King has risen - he’s at Dartford.

Expect them to be applying for a CVA sometime around May 2021.

Weekend plans?

Hendon’s longest ever away league trip this wekeend as we visit Truro. Just the 578 mile round trip from ground to ground and back again. First time the club has ever paid for players to have an overnighter for a league match.

Heading down tomorrow, driving back straight after the game with ‘superfan’ Alex. Need to remember to shake him down for some petrol money.

Whyteleafes cup game before rushing to Selhurst for a 530 ko.

Can’t wait.

Carshalton at home against Dagenham and Redbridge for me - god, this is going to to be such a huge challenge, but I want to see my Robins in the first round proper! Lads will be bang up for it I’m sure.

Home to Stockport County in the FA Cup 4th qualifying round tomorrow - on the actual telly (well, BT Sport at least) and that. 8 cameras in the ground. Count 'em, 8!!

Not done an evening game at Bootham for some time, so it’ll be good to see a game under the lights. Should be fairly packed too, tickets are down to £10. Only downside is the later kick-off means I’ll have to race back into town to see RHLSTP live.

'Mon the Minstermen!

First game of the day. Quite a decent turnout from the Chippenham fans.

2-0 down at half time. Whyteleafe started very brightly and have had the most chances. Chippenham only got going when they scored. But it’s only going one way now.

Whyteleafe lost 3-0. They weren’t disgraced and can be proud of their performance. I’m on my way to Selhurst now, hopefully that won’t be a similar scoreline.

Carshalton beat Dagenham and Redbridge so are in the 1st round proper. If they get a home tie I’ll try and get there.

Here’s a photo I took today.

Chris Zebrowski is at Chippenham now! Could have had a decent career had he not been such a prick! Glassed Argyle’s captain at the time when he was a youngster, and pretty sure he got into more trouble later in his career. Always a decent scorer

Sickening stuff by the looks of things at Haringey Borough yesterday.

Be nice to see the FA and Press think about getting our own house in order whilst taking the moral high ground over the horrific scenes in Bulgaria in the week.
