Non-League Football Thread (Rolling)

Ah nice, I think. He’s a local lad, has played for Lynn for ages (pretty much from the point where they re-formed after folding). The previous CEO/owner was an ex-UKIP candidate and a massive slimeball so it can’t be much worse

And also disbanded Cheadle’s women’s team, Stingers, so the newly formed Stockport County Women can play their home games at Cheadle.

Really shit for Cheadle Town Stingers, who’ve been building consistently to a good level over the past few years. Cheadle as a club seemed to care more about the women’s team than most do at this level, I include West in that.

All headed up by Tracey Neville

The brawl kicked off because our loan player nutted the Scum keeper (who came over to taunt him at the end of the game and went down like an absolute sack of spuds on impact).

That keeper? Albert Einstein Our first signing of the season. I love non league football.

Signed a player we’ve had on loan at various points over the last few seasons and word is he turned down an offer from a club in the National League.

Pinching players from the Scum and being the preferred option over teams a league above us… it’s really feeling like a very exciting time in west Kent

You gonna come to Dulwich friendly? Think a fair few of us are coming down, on the fence about the Jersey Bulls trip because while it would be a great novelty it’s really not cheap :grimacing:

Maine Road FC managed to secure the latest of reprieves, despite losing about 3,056 consecutive games last season.

The league allocations are an absolute joke, tbh. They’ve got to sort the boundary issues out. They’ll never please everyone, but quite a few Manchester teams are in the Midlands League now and half the NW Counties clubs are from the Midlands.

Hah, this is when I’m on holiday there, so I’ll probably go.

Oh sick! There are a few of us going, maybe I’ll change my mind but yeah it’s pretty spenny for the sake of a novel away day

Please go and start negotiations for a west dids friendly next summer

Aye was quite funny seeing Sheffield FC whinge about it (lads, you play in Derbyshire) but the Manchester ones are properly shocking

I think all a club have to do is email and ask. That’s why we’re hosting :sparkles:Basingstoke:sparkles: at the end of July.

Yeah, I imagine it’s quite a cost for a meaningless game. Hotels are basically London prices and I doubt there are many cheap options.

Ahh I’m at my friend’s birthday party that day I’m afraid, it’s a pool party out in Surrey so starts in the afternoon :frowning:

47 hours until HannahIngramMoore’s personal Christmas (fixture release day)

cannot possibly explain to a mentally healthy person what a huge day it is for me every year. i’m furious they’ve moved it to Friday 11am from the usual Wednesday 1pm slot as I always schedule my lunch around it so I can plan for the season ahead
