Usually I don’t like the whole “oh oh oh oh” sort of thing but it’s done pretty perfectly here.
“Into the Street” by The Twilight Singers is probably the most brutal one. It’s sad enough at the beginning, but then at the end when the voices all swell over that outro:

I think this thread just made me subconsciously put on Everclear’s So Much for the Afterglow. The album / title track has a long intro that does this:
Just found out a couple days ago that Alcest’s Kodama (the song) has no lyrics and is all vocal improvisation. Amazing song, and one of the few best albums of last decade.
