My friend commented on how I always have a bowl of nuts in shells in my flat, irritatingly harder to source after xmas though.

I tend to go for pistachios instead. There’s something quite satisfying about any food that requires a little bit of physical effort to consume. (Also, I like using half of a discarded shell on a hard-to-open pistachio, like nature’s own mini crowbar)

Love pistachios so much. Beautiful green babes.

We know Schloer as “Christian Wine” (because of the likelihood of being served Schloer by some lovely teetotal churchgoing friend)

Depends how much I’ve had to drink.

(of course, I don’t mean to be disparaging to either non-drinkers or Christians - it just became a bit of a ‘thing’ for a while in certain circles)

(Also waiting for profk to pile on here and tell me that we can’t all be coke-addled hedonists)

I’ve ticked “always” but I can’t imagine drinking port on a scorching weekend evening. It’s a winter drink but not exclusively Christmas

Shloers okay as a drink with Xmas Dinner imo as its tasty fizzy drink that’s pretty light.
I’m not one for having alcohol with the food really.
After is grand :+1:

Each to their own tho
