Conflicting emotions
– Excellent on his day, can unlock defences
– Technically very good
– ‘One of our own’…
++ Had an average 16/17 season, didn’t actually start too many games
++ Sometimes looks a bit lightweight
++ We probably need the cash to build because of FFP

£10M would’ve been nice (we got that last August for Hendrick to Burnley) but probably about right on balance

I’d agree with all of the above, the step up might suit him. I can’t imagine he’s been too chuffed with all the chopping and changing of managers either. Watford is a bit of weird move though, they seem to have about 100 players on the books at all times.

Really hope he makes it. There were several games against Forest which he dominated without really leaving the centre circle. Despite it being a derby match I honestly spend large chunks marvelling at his poise and bravery on the ball.
