Have any of the enormous number of Chelsea youngsters that have been farmed off on-loan over the years ever managed to make much of a splash in the first team?

Did Zouma go on-loan before he made his breakthrough a few years ago pre-injury?

I really can’t fathom the sense behind their recruitment policy for youngsters. Is it simply a scattergun approach in the hope that perhaps, one of them might make it?

FFP workaround innit, hoard players and sell them for a profit.

(Also, still half expecting a few of them to make the grade at Chelsea, players breaking through in their teens is increasingly rare these days, mass loans and then bedding in at 22/23 seems to be more regular (Kane, Lingard etc) quite a few of Chelsea’s dominant youth sides are reaching that stage at the minute so it will be very telling, departures of Ake and Solanke don’t bode well though…)
