Does this mean that 2 and 3 are good? I wasn’t going to bother with them but might on your recommendation.

2 is passable. 3 is rubbish, unless you’re, like 10 years old and impressed by 3D films.

Just seen that Jaws 4 has 0% on Rotten Tomatoes :joy:

I have never seen it (Jaws 4) but by all accounts it is terrible. However I have seen the house that it built, and it is terrific - Michael Caine

Saw it in the cinema

Like most 12 year olds I think it’s fair to say that my standards back then were not high, but even I could tell how awful it was

Last night i watched Sorry to Bother You. I really enjoyed it but i think a sharper editor would have made it a lot better. Loads of great ideas but almost too many all vying for space.
Lakeith Stanfield is excellent as always.

oh and really liked the soundtrack

I’m convinced by this reappraisal

This is all you need to watch of Jaws 3

2 is definitely worth a watch. Never going to be as good as 1 but Roy Schieder is great.

I know what scene this is without watching it :grinning:

Ironically it looks just like the shit shark arcade game in the 1st film

Did king Lear at a level so an extra element as I tried to remember the plot of that

Good movie but not as fun as Seven Samurai

I love how itnhad that air of mystery which would reward repeat viewings, especially with the grandmother and Aki

Yesterday I watched:

Lucky - Harry Dean Stanton comes to term with mortality. Lovely sweet film and David Lynch co-stars. 7.5/10.

Le Cercle Rouge - 70s jewel heist film. Done really well. A long film at around 2h 20 minutes but the film moved along at a great pace. 8/10.

The Dead Centre - Horror starring (but not written or directed by) Shane Carruth of Primer and that other one. Good horror film. Worth checking out 7.5/10.

Miss Congeniality - Hadn’t seen this before. Many of the jokes and scenes are dated and wouldn’t have made the cut nowadays but I still liked it. 7.5/10.

Great cast, Griffith was a delight 8/10

somehow had never seen this before, absurd but an instant classic for me 9/10

Yep. Ratatouille was brilliant. Wall-E was another classic like that that I only saw about six months ago.

Very grateful to be able to go to the cinema again next week. One of the few available activities that isn’t hindered by cold and dark.

Not much to see at this rate though :frowning: - American Utopia has a VOD date of 14th December, I’m hoping they maybe also do some cinema showings in December too
