Good shout, though I don’t really think of it as a comedy franchise I guess

They’d previously said 10 was meant to be the end, but I guess Hollywood is in panic mode right now.

(Always on board for more F&F, obviously)

The original Night of the Living Dead was way more stylistically interesting than I had expected, with the photo montage, the reporters, the focus on the TV and radio broadcasts. Very cool, gave it that Vietnam/war reportage edge to it that I’d read about without understanding what they meant.

Also poor Ben, what a useless group of people to be stuck with.

Like the article said, they must have taken inspiration from Spinal Tap and decided to go up to 11

Saint Maud - Its all been said, but just so good and the last 2 minutes stayed with me since.

Rojo - Pretty bizarre Argentinean drama that I had to read up one more once I had seen it, lack of knowledge on my part re: the coup didn’t help.

Paths of Glory - Banger! And pleasingly short for a Kubrick film.

Time Mentioned above, very powerful doc that won the Sundance award. Really really great.

Host - Shoestring horror film created during the lockdown. Pleasingly creepy and some genuine jumps.

Gay USA - Lovely doc on MUBI at the moment which is just vox pops taken during US gay pride events in 1978. Laced with sadness for what was to follow of course…

Caught up with Les Miserables. Enjoyed it all, but the final scenes just knocked me out. Have also now got a man crush on Djebril Zonga.

Also my reaction. Always like to go in sight unseen but some context would’ve helped on this one

EDIT: never mind

Snap!

I like that they’re not showing the Dragon in this trailer, even if it’s voiced by Awkwafina

oh no. but i don’t want it to end.

There’ll be numerous spinoffs I imagine even if the main series ends

Should’ve sold my original dvd on eBay the week after The Oscars when they were going for like £60.

The Candyman remake is now going to come out…end of August 2021? Becoming increasingly convinced that film studios don’t give a shit if cinemas survive the coming year or not.
